We now know he has the chin, but does he have the skill to beat bradley/alexander?

im dissapointed TBH. stopping peterson in the 3rd/4th would have been impressive but was so frustrating when he kept backing off and therefor allowing peterson bk into the fight. IMHO, jim watts commentry was spot on in that fight

i'll give him 1 more fight to prove his heart/courage before i give up yet tho

Yes as they never get it wrong? Mate, I work in research. I use simulation software inputting materials with known properties yet the actual v prediction frequently can show huge variation. The idea that anyone can confidently and accurately predict the interaction of two gloved men in a square ring is prety insane to me.

O........K......:think...not sure i needed to know what you do...to of seen your point.

I'm not saying there gonna have it right all time but i know these guys know there stuff. They've broken the fight down well without really going to indepth. Yourself and Darni and many others haven't other then Khan's jab and not falling into a war again. To me it's more hoping then knowledge.

I get it badly wrong sometimes, yet am confident my knowledge on boxing supercedes that of the bookies!

I've gotten picks wrong - but in boxing there are tangibles and intangibles. You base good analysis on the tangibles - speed, strength, footwork, punch selection, technique, tendencies. Intangibles are the things people were doing when picking Maidana over Khan and are almost always prefixed by "If..."

We can look at Bradley's tangibles and evidence of him doing them in the ring. Because of that, it looks like he has the ability to beat Khan. Bradley's evidenced tendency to adapt and adopt the correct gameplan suggests he will be better prepared for his opponents.

Khan has shown capability at long range, good footwork and a solid jab. But it's not a hard, discouraging jab and he rarely follows with anything meaty: more of a stayaway punch than a punishing shot. We've also seen he can be pulled out of his gameplan and that, defensively, he leaves serious gaps. The winging right Maidana caught him Khan with didn't go around the guard - Khan's hands were down!

That's not to say he won't have successes early on while Bradley adjusts to the reach and movement, but you have to accept that based on what we've seen from both men, it's hard to pick against Timmy.

Just being taller and faster with a bit of jab isn't enough at the elite level.

Timmys probably the favourite, but I really don't think there's much in it as people are making out. Make no mistake Khan will be a handful in one way or another for any other LWW out there. Stylistically I thought Maidana was the toughest fight for him at LWW.

For how good of a boxer people are making Khan out to be, Maidana should've been the easiest stylistic matchup out there for him.

You guys really think he only has 'a bit of a jab', 'solid jab' etc.

It wasn't on show last night much but in the Kotelnik and Malignaggi fights I thought his jab was absolutely excellent. Fast, powerful and enabled him to set up the majority of his work and was the reason for such dominance. Obviously he was given the time by Kotelnik and Paulie whereas Maidana didn't but I still feel it'd be a big weapon against Bradley and Alexander.

But it should have been an essential weapon against Maidana. He just didn't have the nerve to do it.

Obviously it's not 'all' Khan has, but it really is the punch he needs to control Bradley. He tends to club with the straight right, when his hooks and straight shots and much more powerful (or damaging).

Roach needs to do a lot more work with him, I think.

I think he would outbox both of them and hopefully a fight can be made with the winner.
