to be honest, the gutter press asked him a lot of leading questions and took his answers out of context. They took advantage of his naivety and made him look like a jumped up idiot.

I haven't seen any interview when Khan isn't cool and classy. It seems the haters are people who are determined to find fault with him, no matter how little.

 

You didn't see many of his interviews early in his career then...

seriously, I'm showing Khan all the respect he deserves and more now that hes earned it, but EVEN HE has admitted that he was an arrogant ******* in the past. but thankfully, that is now, in the past. so, he has my respect now.

 

He WAS a star because he won an olympic silver medal at age 17 and was Britain's ONLY boxing representative at Athens.

Not only that but you could argue that he put British boxing on the map again and made it popular domestically. ITV began showing boxing regularly on prime TV one year after the BBC walked away.

Khan was rightfully a star but the media made him a SUPERSTAR without merit and Khan got suckered in like all of us.

 

Of course he was a star. As soon as he won the silver in the Olympics, he became a household name.
