i was with you, but i do think he does want to improve. i certainly hope he does. but his team seriously need to work on these weaker aspects before even mentioning the likes of mayweather. even at 140 he will eventually get found out if he doesn't improve. great natural gifts but needs to be smarter and improve his infighting

Devon got schooled by a guy that got schooled by Khan.

good post....also i would add khan's extra determination and almost unbelievable feat of staying up on his feet while the heat was being poured on in round 10 was due to the haters and the doubters... i was a doubter... he needs to keep that negative and use it as a positive... but also as the OP said most importantly improve defence and inside fighting abilities

Khan did a good job avoiding the big right hand of Maidana all night, of course he got hit by a few, but really only one real big shot. Khan just needs to learn how to block the upper cut and he should be fine. Of course all fighters have flaws but can has less than most.

Khan has a lot to work on, it doesn't help that Roach underestimated Maidana either.

He also needs to learn how to fight going backwards and to clinch. Khan's era has lots of upcoming Mexican talent like Frankie Gomez, Jesse Vargas, Saul Alvarez, etc. These guys actually know how to cut off the ring and force a fight inside.

He was lucky Maidana didn't know how to cut the ring off too well.

This post is a real head scratcher.

If Khan is "by far the best at 140", then why did he only narrowly get a points victory over Maidana? He barely scraped his way out of the fight, much less separated himself from the rest of the division.

Bradley has great skills and maybe even better determination. Bradley is the best 140 lber in the world.

Khan would not be able to get Bradley off of him. It will be like being attacked by a pitbull when Bradley decides to be aggressive.

Not a winnable fight from the current version of Khan.

    Back to the drawing board.

It's going to be hilarious when Khan totally outboxes Bradley and Alexander next year.

I can't wait to see what excuses people make then.

Shhh...Alexander is a bit of a sore subject with MW, seeing as he touted him as the next big thing for months on end. The Kotelnik nightmare still haunts him.
