Khan's "vast improvement" under Roach is a bit of a myth

Khan looked good against Kotelnik and Paulie, but IMO he always would due to styles.

Khan fought his first pressure fighter the other night since being with Roach and didn't look good at all. His defence was terrible, inside game non existent, and overall tactics were poor. He edged out Maidana by Cortez' point deduction on my card. The last pressure fighter he fought was Michael Gomez, and the fight was similar. Khan hasn't shown much improvements between the two fights.

Yes I think overall he has improved as a fighter but none of this "Khan is a totally new fighter under Roach" because the similarities between the Khan vs Maidana and the Khan vs Gomez were there for all to see.:deal

That is because he doesnt stick to the gameplan and is easily drawn into exchanging blows. When he was following the gameplan until round 9 he was easily up 7-2 on the cards, a elite fighter would have cruised from there winning a easy ud, khan made it difficult for himself, he is still growing though and will probably become better and more mature the more he fights.

Look, you agreed to leave the site if Khan fought Maidana. Why don't you stick by what you said and **** off?

You're a complete joke and your opinion has no merit.

First Khan was never going to fight Maidana. (You said you'd leave if he did)

Then Khan was going to get KOd with the first punch that hit him. (He took plenty of big shots without flinching. He was hurt a couple of times i thte fight too. He took a sustained beating for a whole round and still didn't go down)

Now he's still got an iffy chin and has not improved very much. (what a surprise, the goal posts move again when you're proven wrong)

You really are a joke of a poster. I hope they ban you because you made a bet and should stick to it. The fact that you haven't just shows what an ignorant little **** you are.

    **** off

You're a joke though. The fact that you continue to post excuses for your **** after being proven wrong time and time again only confirms this. You're like Michigan Warrior in that respect

Why do you expect people to value your opinion when you talk nothing but bollocks?

Why don't you read the opening post and try and deny it. Khan looked exactly the same as he did vs Gomez the other night. No idea how to fight inside whatsoever.

How is this a troll post? Even Khan fanatic Uncle Rico can see the similarities.

I agree to an extent. Khan was 'exposed' of not having an effective inside game whatsoever once Maidana took the fight there. The contrast was particularly big watching novice DeGale being so natural at the ropes. Khan just had the guard up and that was it, and punches found a way through them. Someone should teach him those inside techniques and by someone I don't mean Roach as Pacquiao does the same, he just takes more chances.
