He proved me wrong, too. He definitely shouldn't put himself through another war like that, simply because he isn't made for those kind of fights. Like you say, he may well have survived that one, but that doesn't mean he'll survive others.

We care. After months and months of your ****, this is our moment now :good. And he didn't need to shut him out to prove you wrong. He had to:

    A) Step in the ring.
    B) Take his best shots and not go down.
    C) Emerge as the winner.

I don't agree with your posts all the time but this is magic UR. Well researched and it's graet somebody finally called out these fools who jump ship when their guy looses.

That said I did feel that Cortez was the x factor and you will find that I was a pro khan supporter before the match. Were it not for Cortez' dodogy reffing that fight could have gone either way but then even drawing with Maidana is respectable.

Cortez was helpful, yes. But it was needed. Maidana's a dirty guy, and it was a good thing we had a referee who wasn't going to tolerate his ****.

That's true too. Only guy I see who could beat Khan at 140 is Bradley but he could be robbed by King when he fights Alexander. Khan would shutout Alexander with ease though.

I agree that Bradley, having brilliant workrate, would prove to be a little too smart for a naive Khan. And despite him not being renowned for being a big puncher, I think he has the ability to hurt Khan and finish him. I would say the same thing for Alexander, too.

Uncle Rico - I'm getting to like you MAN.

I agree, Amir is not cut out to go to war, but he manned up, braved it out and won. Gotta give Maidana credit though - he took some real bombs from Khan and just kept coming back for more. Many fighters would not have beat the count in the first - Maidana is nails.

    Amir - unify my son.

Glad you liked the thread, Doctor. :good

I have mixed feelings about the fight, though. I was pleased to see his chin stand up better, but at the same time, was very disappointed to see him tagged so easily. I now have serious concerns with his ability to unify.

I get that Rico - but I see him improving every time he fights. I get the oppinion that he aint that bright and needs constant coaching. Freddy is doing that and he will hopefully correct these issues. It will be great to see him fight Devon or Bradley next year - fights like Saturday's is all we want to see at the end of the day - a good ****ing tear up that could go either way.

Khan ran out of gas. He was too pumped up and nervous which drained him. In the future he will control his breathing better. He will be more assured when he is in with heavy handed guys. If Khan had not been over-breathing he would have stopped Maidana, I feel.

Like I said days before the fight. Maidana has lot of heart and a big punch, but is a very, very limited boxer. I knew can was going to win. However, that doesn't makes him a star. Maidana on his best day is a Class B fighter. And Khan had a lot of trouble with him. May be he will do big thing, but right now I don't consider Khan a star. I think Marquez could make him look like a fool
