The run of good fights continue :happy

At Quebec City (Showtime & Primetime): Jean Pascal vs. Bernard Hopkins, 12 rounds, for Pascal's Ring/WBC light heavyweight title; Paulie Malignaggi vs. Michael Lozada, 10 rounds, welterweights; Daniel Jacobs vs. TBA, 8 rounds, super middleweights; Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin vs. TBA, 8 rounds, super middleweights; Tyson Fury vs. Israel Garcia, 8 rounds, heavyweights

At Berlin, Germany: Marco Huck vs. Denis Lebedev, 12 rounds, for Huck's WBO cruiserweight title; Yoan Pablo Hernandez vs. Ali Ismailov, 12 rounds, WBA cruiserweight eliminator; Alexander Povetkin vs. Nicolai Firtha, 10 rounds, heavyweights; Kubrat Pulev vs. Paolo Vidoz, 8 rounds, heavyweight; Francesco Pianeta vs. Mike Middleton, 8 rounds, heavyweights

At Tijuana, Mexico (ESPN Deportes): Erik Morales vs. Jorge Barrios, 12 rounds, junior welterweights

The German card looks good, main event should be a good fight. Hernandez/Ismailov could go either way and you've got Povetkin, Pulev and Pianeta in action.

Pianeta's opponent is gash, it's the guy Audley fought on his DEBUT!

Barrios/Morales - two fighters past it but have enough left to give us a good fight.

Pascal/Hopkins is the big fight of the week. Can Bernard upset the odds one more time?

Might just be for this fight. Since it's just a 'comeback' why bother to make weight? Not as if his opponent will be any good.

Ya I hope so. He's a good lad to have in the mix at 160 I think, and could still do well there.

Checked on Boxrec, no details of his fight up there yet. I also noticed thought that his weight for many of his fights was >160. Maybe they figured it's was affecting him trying to get down to MW. He's only a young guy, he might have outgrown it.

I wonder what odds you can get on Huck and Lebedev going the distance

looking forward to the Huck-Lebedev fight.

really hope Lebedev will take Huck out. I hate Huck's style, fights like a lunatic in small bursts and apart from Cunningham has kind of had it easy.

I hope I get the family dinner out of the way in time for this fight.

    9pmish?

Another great weekend! Perfect ending for a hectic week of Uni work.

This will be the definitive nail in the boxing career of Bhop I fear :-( I don't think he will look good at all, but neither will Pascal probably!

Huck-Lebedev will be a war, Lebedev has the more 'solid' look about him with bit more of a dig so you'd have to back him to overcome what Huck has to offer, although he has improved since Cunningham dismantled him. Undeercard fight with Hernandez looks pretty tasty too.

Cloud will KO Zuninga with ease.

Solis-Austin will be an interesting fight! Maybe for the wrong reasons though, lets hope Solis can at least come in around 250. Such a shame when these talented Cubans lose their discipline.

Surprisingly not that good. Skybet have it 11/10 for it to go the full 12 and to the cards and 4/6 for either man inside the distance. Mind you I kind of fancy this fight to go the full way as well. They've both got power but I can see them both being a little timid and cancelling each other out rather than trading bombs. Lebedev could outbox him but I think Huck will mostly dominate after an awkward start and either win a close decision or get a late stoppage.

Another great weekend of boxing though. For 10 months, 2010 was a joke in terms of decent fights.. we've had over a dozen good matchups in the last 2 months alone though! Hope it continues to early 2011!
