Anyone else found it funny?

Almost out early and outclassed for 9 rounds, Maidana came back from hell showing a huge heart and almost pulled it off in a dramatic fight you'll never forget. He wasn't in there to make friends or touch gloves but the search and destroy (and was a bit dirty at times), and if his no-nonsense killer attitude didn't convince you he's an absolute badass, the interveiw likely did.

Merchant: Do you believe you won the fight in the late rounds?
Maidana: I thought I won in the later rounds, they gave him the decision.
Merchant: Do you want a rematch?
Maidana: I'll fight anyone, goodbye - and he walks away

it's tough on the ego to lose a fight like this - that's what happened to maidana.
and that's all.

 

Love the guy! I think it was at least a draw.

 

Love to see maidana fight the looser of bradley and alexander as there hinting may happen.

 

I didn't think it was that badass. A little childish if anything.

He is a true no nascences worrier.

 

What i don't get with all these Khan hate and Khan nut sucking is the criticism and praise of Maidana.

First off, that dude needs to learn more boxing techniques. Can you be more one dimensional? Without power he would have gotten crushed.

Second off, for a dude with barely a name, even with boxing fans his shtick is quite sad. Man up and touch gloves. You have no names on your resume. Act like you have been in the big stage.


Nice heart and chin. That body shot was brutal. But slowly coming back and nearly stopping Khan was impressive. I had Maidana losing but he made it real close by the end of the 10th.

I hope he improves.

That brutal punch Maidana received by Khan that Knock him down sure did damage to him as it showed. Maidana lost his air and tired FAST! It would of been a diffrent story if he wasn't fighting tired past the 6th round. But all in all it was an exciting fight as Maidana was coming from behind and almost pulled a KO! I sure hope to see Maidana again maybe against Ortiz for a rematch.

Khan did good on this fight but I feel he still has a bit more to improve.

Maidana must of been gutted he couldnt get the 100k win bonus.

 

Never was it a draw, even if u were very generous to maidana and very critical to khan, khan still wins 113-112

whichever way u look at it, khan won the fight, he won by 2 points on my card
