I don't want to get too far away from the point of this thread...but why would you hate him "as a person". I can see you saying you don't like him "as a boxer"...but "as a person"?

I can think of very few people I hate...... Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, murderers, ******.

I hate the way Haye acts, the way he talks without trying to back it up, I hate those stupid shirts he was wearing, his empty talk, etc... but I can't say I hate him as a person.

Maybe hate is a strong word. I dislike Wlad's attitude, his mannerisms, I feel he has turned his back on his European roots for a more fashionable life in America. I don't like the **** he talks, it is annoying and tedious. I find Vitali the much more likeable brother. I don't condone David Haye's trash talking however, as he has done nothing to back it up.

Wlad deserves credit now and will deserve it more after he shuts up Haye. He'll have cleaned out his division which is all you can ask of a heavyweight.

Haye is a hypejob, a one dimensional fighter who runs in the ring, waiting for a lucky shot. He is a coward.

Wlad is the World Champion, has fantastic technique and athleticism, and is a great ambassador for boxing.

In my opinion, Wlad beats Haye senseless 9 out of 10 fights. In that one fight that Haye wins, Wlad bashes him for 9 rounds before Haye lands a lucky punch to Wlad's suspect chin.

David Haye is no world beater. This tread is a waste.

    Ain't that the truth.

I think they're both distinctly average. Haye hasn't got Wlad's power and Wlad ain't got Haye's speed. 50/50. Actually, I don't care. Heavyweight boxing :-(.

he won a silver medal and got stopped in the final by Solis also he never was undisputed in the cruiserweights. He beat a faded Mormeck and unified against Macca. He only was in two world title fights in the cruiserweights, he beat the worst beltholders in the worst division in boxing

whilst it would be his best victory for a long time, wlad is that much of a favourite in my eyes that i wouldnt give him too much credit tbh

I would give Wladimir more credit than before yes as i feel Haye is better than any fighter he has fought. A win over Solis as well would really cement things for me. I do feel both Haye and Solis are a step up from Wladimir previous oppentents, the bar has been to low since lewis retired. This makes it hard to judge either k-brother.

B grade 35 plus fighters have dominated outside of the k brothers which is a poor testiment to the heavyweight division. I think better quality is just round the corner. Also given Solis amateur record if he got in shape he would be a big scalp for any era. Haye gasing out after hurting Solis in the Olympics I still feels marks both fighters out as special more than anything else. Solis I feel has not really progressed where as Haye has. Solis might need to lose a fight to get his act in order.

The "Haye scene" will come up with a new hero (see the sudden Chisora whoreship), if Haye gets beaten to a bloody pulp like the rest of the pack.
And they would give Wlad only a little credit for it.

I would also give Wlad only little credit for beating Haye, I'm not impressed with him as a Heavyweight thus far.

I meant by B grade 35 fighters dominating before anybody ask. That the heavyweight division has to many old men fighting at the top level due to a lack of quality and depth. Part timers like Aerola and Peter should not have been able to climb so high with out putting more effort in. Natural cruiser like Sultan and Eddie were not special enough to be number 1 contenders as heavyweights.

A young Ray Mercer, Buster Douglas, Tony Tucker would have dominated outside of the K-brothers without to many problems.

wlad should get credit but no more than against ibragimov or chagaev. haye's a solid hw but that's it. he's not great or even very good. wlad is much better and should win. chris byrd and the first sam peter win would definitely rank above imo. the fact that he has some paper title and is british with a lunatic fanbase doesn't make a win more impressive to me. Yes, it's a big fight because of that but doesn't make him a better fighter.

let's not forget he was stopped by a 40-year old lhw and had his brain scrambled by former smw bum lolena mock, floored by a faded mormeck and shot to **** barrett.

He has performed a little better at hw than i thought he would because he's adopted a more safety first approach and reduced workrate. Then again, look at the stiffs he's been fighting.

Wlad should dominate this man but Haye has an outside chance of winning the event :bbb

Whoever wins will certainly be deserving of credit as they would have beaten a very good opponent.
