I tend to agree with you, although some guys such as nutjob are doing it on purpose to wind people up and some are just being ****s but yes as a boxer/trainer they should be able to take it considering they get punched in face for a living. I think Tony takes it well tbh.

    Tony is a good guy.

There are always gonna be dickheads who want to slag him off just because he's Tony Bellew but he knows who they are and knows to ignore them.

I hope he continues to post for evermore.

(I also hope he moves up to 200 so I can throw my full support behind him.)

Thats fair enough Don, but they "problems" (for want of a better word) start when people use the fact that in a forum setting they don't have to be accountable for their words and post opinions or make accusations that they wouldn't dream of in "real life".

Exactly. Is it hate because I came on here and told him I wasn't impressed with his performance and that he's a long way off of where he wants to be, i.e. challenging for world title honours?

I watched the fight and just called what I saw. My opinions are based on mostly his last 2 fights but pretty much his entire career. I'm not going to come on here and tell him he would destroy Cleverly or that he looks like a future world champion because he doesn't to me at the moment.

I'm not going to sit on here posting about how good his performances have been and how he'd beat anyone at 175 just because he posts on here. Now don't get me wrong, I'm very appreciative of the fact that he takes the time to post on here and interact with his fans and I'd love nothing more than for him to prove me wrong and win a title someday and I wish him the best of luck.

But this refusal to offer some constructive criticism and feedback just because he posts here is ridiculous. Tony himself excepts that, he knows people are entitled to their opinion and he let's them make their points without kicking up half as much fuss as you are right now.

There's having an opinion, but you called the guy a bell end.

    Why would you do that?

His last 2 fights show how he's prepared to get in the ring with seriously awkward opponents at the expense of looking good, against normally avoided guys.

Please is calling someone a bell end really something to get annoyed about. Bellew says far worse stuff on TV every fight. Look how he spoke to the ref it was a disgrace.

Seriously awkward and avoided....do me a favour. There domestic gatekeepers and Bellew calls himself a world class prospect. Cloud, Dawson, Pascal would have blown these guys out of the water in there 15th fight.

    Could vs KcKenzie?
    Dawson vs Ajisafe?
    Pascal vs Atoli Moore?

Bellew has potential. If he works at it, he can go far. But as I have said, I think he needs a better, experienced technical trainer to teach him defense and technical skills and further his ring IQ. farnell was simply a brawler in the ring. Otherwise we are looking at the new Enzo Maccarinelli.

We may look back on this fight as Macarinelli vs Bruce Scott. Problem is, Maccarinelli was fed bums by Warren for years, which hid his awful basic skills and masked it all with his power. When he stepped up, we saw what happened every time. With Bellew, I think Warren will put him in tough fights and won't give him a run of 10-15 bums. So unless he seriously improves his boxing skills, he will be found out within the next 3-4 fights. THEN he'll move from Farnell.

Its a jump to say that because Farnell had a certain style as a fighter that he can't teach others as a trainer.
