Did any of the judges do this or even Letterman give Madaina a 10/8 rd for the 10th? I mean Kahn was all but out and was being pummled from pillar to post, could a 10/8 rd have been pivoal in the scoring?

I dont believe any of the judges scored rd 10- 10/8 but Im not sure. I Think a 10/8 rd and Cortez' point deduction could have been pivotal?

anyone score it, or believe rd 10 should have been 10/8?

Was definitely a 10-8 round, no doubt at all. I seem to remember the commentators saying all 3 gave it 10-8 to Maidana, but don't quote me and I haven't checked the maths.

    no doubt, everyone did.

    Khan should've taken a knee.

Everyone did. Khan got beaten from pillar to post and did nothing in return. I do think it's a shame that Khan stayed on his feet though and toughed it out trying not to go down and lose a point yet he did anyway. Seems a bit harsh but that's the way it is.

Two of the judges did I assume(114-111), well either that or they had a round even, which is unlikely.

I was definitely a 10-8 round imo, Khan got hammered from pillar to post in it.
Didn't watch the HBO telecast but if Lederman scored it 114-111 aswell then that'll be the reason why. 7 rounds to Khan+ a knockdown, 5 rounds to Maidana minus the point deduction and then the 10-8 round. Which gives you 114-111.

He done it for all his haters to prove them wrong.

God bless him, he took a mighty beating in that round.

That was a 10-8 round in every sense of the word......

......that round was so dominant from Maidana, there would have been good cause to score it 10-7 had Khan gone down.

A judge almost never scores a round 10-7 with only the aid of one knockdown, but I've actually seen it happen before in boxing matches between non-elites.

The third judge scored it exactly as I did, 113-112

6 rounds each with both scoring 10-8 rounds comes to 113-113.......
......then you take away the point away from the elbow that did not land, and its 113-112.

I'd like to see a rematch, but I doubt very seriously anyone in that Khan camp, including Freddie Roach who had preached it would be an easy night for Khan, would take it.:D

Yep, his hearts never been in question and that proved it again. Loved the bit when Maidana was exhausted after swinging in that same round, tried to clinch to get his breath back and Khan - still hurt - pushed him off and carried on fighting.

Swelled up with pride at that point. Maidana is getting all the credit he deserves for being badass, but Khan had his own badass moment there.

its hard to argue against a 10-8 round, he was battered for practically the whole round without throwing much back. He should have took a knee but i suppose he proved a major point by staying on his feet
