Bumped back this old thread, as another example has come to light.

My point has been further proven with how hype creates a buzz, and how facts get lost.
D Green the world rated CW is being hyped of late for 1st round KOs of R Jones and P Briggs (who took Adamek into the trenches), and has now beaten B J Flores the hyped undefeated CW. But remember D Green was first beaten as an undefeated SMW by M Beyer, who many have dismissed on here. But look now and see that a Beyer victim has beaten Jones, Briggs and undefeated Flores.
    Point proven once more :smoke

I didnt bother reading your next post. I stopped on this one when you were saying the 31 year old G Johnson who couldnt live at SMW wasnt prime compared to the one of today.
Johnson most likely is a better, harder to beat fighter now than he was then to be fair, but lets not get too carried away with, the Johnson got robbed rubbish. He just isnt that good, and with 14 losses is now a top 10 SMW :patsch

Thats very true. The most amusing part to all the rubbish that gets printed on here, is when people say that Ward, a prime 25 year old looked better beating an unwell, double vision suffering, already beaten fighter in Kessler, compared to Calzaghe a 36 year old, end of career fighter, beating an undefeated well fighter.
Now that arguement looks even more pitiful, in that 14 losses 2 draws Johnson did a better job on A Greene than Ward, when Johnsons previous record at SMW was 5-6-0 , and he couldnt live in the division 10 years ago, even losing to Sheika

My points on this post have been further enhanced by the facts that D Green is so highly rated at CW beating Flores and Froch who lost to an unwell Kessler, so clearly beat Abraham.

Now maybe the ones who didnt understand when this post was started will now

    Wrong again.
Facts have proven me correct, whilst you say Johnson wasnt prime in his 30s but is in his 40s .
What are your facts, the fact Johnson beat Green :patsch. Come back when you have solid facts like I have :smoke

You can have 2 B rated fighters fight a great fight, but that dosent make them an A rated fighter, and overall, these SMWs are not as good as the overall of 2005

I didn't say he was in his prime, I said he was a better 168 now than the was back 10 years ago because he's matured and learnt still as a fighter.

    As I said:

"Match-up 01 vs 01, 02 vs 02 etc. How many wins does the 2005 lot muster up between them? 3 I reckon. Calzaghe beats Bute, I gave Grant the benefit over Stieglitz, and I don't like 168 Green, but he's big, tough and he's against Bika who is as crude - perhaps more so - than he is, so I gave him a win."

Come back and justify some reasons why the 2010 top 10 doesn't slaughter your '05 top 10.

Until then, shut the **** up and get back in your corner. :good
