not everyfan of the sport has to be a clued up non-casual do they? i'm happy for anyone to be a fan of the noble art,the more the better in my opinion. alienating fans for a casual interest is a bit daft, when we are needing more interest.? I know it can be frustrating when you're trying to get a view across, but lets just see it as educating more then frustrating eh?
No man don't mess with the oracles of the forum. Maybe we should submit our posts to them for review prior to posting eh? In all seriousness the general is full of complete garbage from what I can make out but there seem to be some head cases on here, I've already been called a racist because some guy called 'Johnsonpope' called Khan a ****. Apparently i'm the same guy?
I got banned over a bet on Ricky Hatton vs Tszyu in 2005 which I paid at the time but still got banned :huh The arse lickers ruin the site though
I agree there is arse licking going on, specifically Khan, but the fighters and trainers who post here get treated very fairly imo.
Some posters come on here with belief they know more then they do and some really don't talk boxing...more about nonense then the actual goings on in ring...so not to entirely sure what your on about ...as i'm not generalising all of them. Some lads are decent casuals but as with all things you get the bad. It's one thing educating posters but some are just nuthuggers who try talk as if they know more then others..but it don't bother me that much but it has brought the forum down...among many other things.
Not talking about everyone.....as i said in the post. I'm talking about certain posters on the boards like in any sport. I wouldn't call them hardcore either. Nuthugging is on hardcore levels though...
agreed about the not talking boxing thing,,it can be annoying. do you really think the forum has been brought down? ,I don't quite get what you mean...is it the quality of the posts ? I kind of boycotted posting a few months back because of the abuse for not knowing something as well as someone else.It seems petty, but really pissed me off, as i have been a dedicated fan all my life and felt like it wasn't worth sharing views.
Nope guys like Slip and Fleaman and a few others are the educators. But it doesn't take a educator to see who's a **** poster and who's a nuthugger.
Fair enough, at least there doesn't seem to be shite phrases such as '*****' or '*******' used in every other sentence regardless of thread titile on the British forum though.
Yeah it's quality of posts and threads. Again i'm not talking about casuals in general and i don't expect nor do i want every fan to be hardcore in there fanship but what i do want is objective posting on here like it mostly used to be. Not guys making claims and not backing them up, talking down to other posters with there clearly clueless views. Attacking respected posters/trainers and fighters because it's a way of being famous on the board in there sad minds. Moaning all the time about shows/presenters/pundits. Use of the word bum is used by to many people on here and i find it highly disrespectful. It's still a good board but i did lose fair bit of enthusiasm a while back. To many pointless threads and posts. I love the forum and it's what got my love for boxing back when it ebbed away for a wee while. It's like anything with all good things you get bad.
True. I been on here for i think 2 years...or something and i seen it slightly drop in standard and it's frustrating but it can get back to it's best. Needs a MOD. Stop the stupidity and trolling of likes of Nutjob and that arsehole who keeps posting random photo's and video's in threads. I get impression we have a relatively new audience to boxing posting on here which is positive as long as they post on point and not troll. I sound like a ***** in this thread but i love the forum and it's something that has needled me for a while. I like **** about threads and guys like PK. But there's being quirky and then being a *****.
