I'm not saying that was the cause of Pac's defeat, but I just don't get why a warrior like Morales would put a clause in the contract that prevents his opponent from wearing Reyes gloves. Seems very out of character for a guy like Morales especially considering Pacquiao was moving up in weight.

What are your thoughts on this? Not on whether it changed the outcome or not, but why did Morales put that clause into the contract?

  2. Cleto Reyes is the brand that punchers prefer. I'm guessing he wanted to neutralize Pac's power a little bit.

If that's the case then I hate to say this about a warrior like Morales but it's kind of a ***** move.

All factors considered Morales was better than Pacquiao on that particular night and beat him.

that's not the point though. Question is why did Morales put a clause in the contract that would prevent an opponent who was moving up in weight to wear his preferred brand of gloves?

If it really was to neutralize Pacquiao's power a little, then it is what it is. That's all.

It was part of the contract. Both men signed it, nobody forced anybody to do anything.

Roach and Pacquiao bitched afterward because they lost the fight.

Are you talking about him not being able to wear "Clitoris" gloves?

Exactly. Morales has power of his own. It's not a ***** move to try and neutralize your opponents power. Golden rule is to protect yourself at all times. So, it's not a ***** move to basically ask in the contract that your opponent wear particular gloves. Especially if they agree with no questions asked.

He didn't force pac. Pac signed the f'n contract without going over the details. Something he's learned by hiring lawyers.

It was a great fight, but some of the shots morales took makes you wonder if gloves really do make a difference, mentally of physically.

that was still an epic win, but I think it would've been even better without that bull**** glove clause.

Pac vs Morales is the kind of fight that will be talked about for years to come anyways.
