miguel diaz has worked in pacmans corner alongside roach and ariza for a long time. he is an old trainer and an oldschool one too. i read this about him online in relation to ariza... "Speaking of Ariza, we almost had a walk-out bout between him and Miguel Diaz, the veteran cutman who trained Maidana. Ariza explained that after the fight, Diaz approached him and proceeded to call him a fraud and a cheat, which Ariza took umbrage to. Based on this, I think its safe to say that Freddie Roach wont be hiring Diaz to work cuts in his corner anytime soon. from Steve Kim, maxboxing"
you dont know what you're talking about diaz is pissed because ariza said maidana is a peice of **** and miguel diaz is an inexperienced no good "sorry ass coach". freddie's ***** is getting a big mouth, diaz won trainer of the year in 1999 what have you done ariza except for hang onto freddie's nutsacks.
You are being harsh here. Diaz is being bitter because his boy lost. Ariza has made his name with Roach but has justifiably so.
Very good article over at the scene where Ariza explains the feud that has been rumbling on for a while between both men. I don't know if i can post the full article here....because i been banned before for posting articles...
i'm not, ariza came into the ring and called maidana a POS for his dirty tactics, he called diaz a sorry ass coach after that and said a cutman shouldn't be coaching.
But they make the attack less painful. Khan must have been on poppers. That's the only way he could be bashed in the ring by a guy like Maidana and not feel a thing :-(
i think the soreness on diaz part, was more to do with he felt khan should have been stopped in the late rounds when he was in deep trouble, . Most people were watching for khan to fall flat out, but there was at least 2 later rounds that could have been scored 10--8, but so much made over khans chin, that its like he's won by a mile by just taking madainas punches.
