Why did Morales force Pacquiao to wear Winning gloves the first time?

It was arum's idea in cahoot with murad, you ever wonder why pac's medical records were lost and has to take a blood test two days before the fight? Arum's finger prints are all over these chicaneries.

 

Morales gets bonus/sponsorship money from Winning if he can make PAC wear Winning gloves instead of the competitor Cleto Reyes gloves.

Morales done it and got the bonus money...

Morales beat Pac fair and square. If Pac didn't like the fact that he wasn't going to be wearing his CRs, then he shouldn't have signed the contract.


However, I do agree that any change in gear can mess with your game. It's comparable to a long distance runner not running in his preferred running shoes. Or a golfer not using his preferred iron set. I can see it messing with any athlete at the elite level where every edge counts.

Why did Pac force Morales to face him two more times at 130 when he KNEW that morales was having trouble making 130 and even went as far as to face a terrible style match up for himself at 135 just to move up to the new weight?


Roach has a history with making sure the opponent is nice and dehydrated.

Thats why they are afraid of Money May, because they cant demand stupid catchweights and he can make 147 easy.

 

That's avoiding the question. Why was it part of the contract? Pac wasn't forced to sign anything, but did sign not knowing the details of the contract. And yes, Pac, Roach, and the entire Philippines bitched about it BEFORE the fight and wanted Murad Muhammad's head on a platter.

Morales had as much right as Pacquiao to wear his preferred gloves. The gloves didn't and wouldn't change the outcome that night...and it wasn't a ***** move. The same way it wouldn't have been a ***** move if Pacquiao had gotten Morales to wear Reyes gloves for the bout.

It was an excuse, all boxer's have an excuse when they lose...some are genuine, this is not.

I can very well remember that PAC and Roach complained about the Winning gloves BEFORE the fight but they can't do anything about it since it's in the fight contract and PAC signed it.
