That happened early in the fight. Oscar already took some nice punches by the time Bernard found that liver.
That was impressive. But losing respect for a fighter is stupid, Unless you have taken a shot to the Liver... Then you would prob already know... & wouldn't have made that ignorant statement.
Gatti got hit with a Ward liver shot in the 9th round of their first fight. He then got hit with everything in the book, came back win the middle portion of that round, and then took more punishment to finish the round. Mayorga got up from a Trinidad liver shot, but was stopped with two more KDs after he got up.

I've see thousands of fights and only have seen 2 in which a fighter got off the canvas from a body blow and won. I had maidana being the 3rd on my drunk card. I'm gonna watch it again later this week.
I'm hearing a lot of shouts in this thread, but did all these other fighters go down in absolute agony? I recall Maidana almost rolling around flat on the canvas. It looked certain that the fight was over, how he got up and performed how he did is nothing short of a miracle. Inexplicable.
A lot have got up from liver shots. It was early so he hadn't been worn down yet and lucky for him it was near the end of the round else he might have suffered a lot more
DLH got hit in a weight class where he didn't belong. And most amazing was the fact Khan didn't continue attacking the body.
