You're a former amateur discrediting a pro world title challengers technique, I find that more pathetic.

N'Dou is not sugar ray, but to say he can't throw a punch properly? mate, I'd love to see you spar him...... :patsch

People bringing up Singsurat and Torrecampo is like bring up Peyton Manning's 28 interceptions in his rookie year when talking about how good he is now, or Hopkins losing his first pro fight, or Kobe throwing up three airballs in the playoffs as a rookie, or...you get the point. (I hope).

Using your logic, Pac was wobbled by Marquez (yes he recovered quickly) yet Marquez could do absolutely no harm whatsoever to Mayweather. :deal

Let's see if Pacquiao can shake off Mosley's punches in a couple of months and then we can compare apples to apples.

    Yes he can.

A better question is "Can Manny Pacquiao trade punches with Floyd Mayweather?"

Depends what you mean on trade, he is not going to go all out mayorga style that isnt him, but I expect him to be pretty aggressive especially as the fight wears on, he just will wait until he has Pac figured out and is controlling the fight.

If he gets tagged it would be interesting to see him try to retaliate and trade but I dont expect him to. Morales was always interesting in that way when he got tagged he would go nuts and actually it wasnt a bad strategy because it evened up the round, he usually did well with it.

Floyd hits harder as per his sparring partner.
Maybe he knows a little more than many of the viewers.

no.. But pac will get hurt from counters.. Floyd won't punch him when pac is expecting the shots like with cotto margarito.. Clottey did more damage to his face with the 10 punches he threw..

If you read the thread he clearly states the Pac of NOW. Show me a video of Pac being seriously hurt fight > 140lbs to where he has to hold on a la Floyd vs Mosley. I'll wait.....

I'm reading this thread & it's amazing how Pac has transformed into this robot w/an iron chin who can't be hurt anymore!! If & when he fights Floyd I hope he's not as stupid as some of the posters here! If on the other hand he is he will get stopped rather early!

Trading is for guys like Gatti or Margo who don't have the greatest skill set or speed & it's there best shot at landing a good decent shot! If that's what u wanna see than go to ur local school at 3pm and watch them fight! This is boxing and Floyd is as good as it gets when it comes to skill! He doesn't have to trade & niether does Manny for the most part! manny does more so because they fight different & then u can simply look at the opponent in front of him! It's easy to trade w/guys who are much slower, less accurate and there to be hit! Floyd ain't niether one of them!

What Floyd will do at times is get in close and sit down on some punches, not wing away like some backyard brawler! He likes to get inside & hit the body & head w/out getting damage done to himself! Manny isn't a good inside fighter so he's not gonna like it, he needs space! Manny likes to jump in and out throwing combos & again... thats easy when the opponent in front of u is much slower, less accurate & there to be hit! He also tends to be off balance when he does this and that's why JMM was able to really get in his ass at times & he has nowhere near the speed, power & accuracy Floyd has! JMM hurt Pac several times in there fights, imagine what Floyd will do!! Margo was able to land alot of punches for christ sake so it doesn't say much about Manny's defense! For the record, Margo hasn't looked like the puncher he used to be since that Plaster has been taken out of his gloves!! Hmmm??:huh

To ans the question... Yes he can trade because he has the speed, accuracy, power & chin to do so! Will he?? Nah, just not his style but he will do like I said in close! He'll beat Manny on the inside & outside to the point where Manny will revert back to the wild sloppy winging fighter he used to be and run into something sweet to end the nite looking up ala Hatton!! :hey I doubt Manny or Roach underestimate Floyd's power like the ******s on here do & unless Ariza is putting some good(illegal)**** in Manny's shakes he ain't superman w/a new improved super chin!!

While the guys that Pac fought at upper weights had power. They didn't have the speed. Pac saw most of there stuff coming. Thats not the case with Mayweather. People get to caught up with punching power these days.
