    Reported at the sceneoboxing.

Apparently Holy is going through with his fight against Sherman Williams Jan 22 to stay active.

Don't ask me why I'm posting this saddness... It's boxing, and that's what were here to type about, good or bad...

Is it still possible Holyfield will get another trinket shot before he can no longer pass medical exams?

Fair play to Holy. If he's serious about this he can't be fighting once a year.

That's what was stressing me out even more, he keeps talking about belt shots, but he fights guys with no rank, once a year at best now. So hopefully he has realized that wont be enough, and at his age, activity is better than nothing if he's serious.

I admire anyone willing to fight for a wage but I fear Holyfield will get seriously hurt one day. I hope he fights smart and finds what he's looking for, and soon!

    Yea the sooner the better.

I hope it doesn't take a serious injury from a ko loss, to make Holy let it go... Then again I would be happy for him if he got a belt, and didn't get injured if he does continue.

But no matter what, I hope next year is Holy's last year as an active fighter.

I heard about the re-scheduling to January and agree, Holyfield will have to fight at a much higher level of opposition if he wants to even get consideration at a title shot

Fair play to him. He was born to fight.

Anyway, it's important these young prospects stay busy. I think he could go all the way to the top, this kid.

I heard talks of Holy-Golota, providing Andrew's arm is OK.

    :patsch

If Holyfield truley thinks he will be competitve with a belt holder, he needs to take on someone who is still at least a halfway serious contender, not inactive guys in their mid to late 40's.

You got to give ol' Holy some credit when he fought Valuev because Haye didn't do much better.
