That's not what I implied. At all. It was more a compliment to Maidana than anything. Just look at how the majority of people on here, not to mention the media (and Roach) were making it out like Khan winning was a foregone conclusion, when it was anything but. Just like how people are giving Alexander next to no chance now, that's the point I was trying to make. Jesus christ people! And yes I think after winning the first half of the fight pretty handily, Khan started to underestimate the man in front off him.
I don't see Devon giving Bradley any problems, nothing he can offer is something he hasn't dealt with before. Bradley has the ability, like Mayweather, to make in fight adjustments that are so effective that he causes all the people he fights problems.
I feel just the opposite Alexander has sneaky power like Holt he can hurt you if you take him lightly. He has the ability to box or outbox Bradley as well. If you think he causes Bradley no problems you're fooling yourself.
I personally disagree with the notion that Bradley is an intelligent fight adjuster as well- he has the same strategy in almost every fight. Box at range and then smother and hit a guy with combos on the inside.
Bradley/Alexander is a 55/45 fight in favour of Bradley right now I think. I wouldn't be suprised if either guy won.
I wouldn't say Alexander has no chance, but I do think he's got more ground he has to make up based on their last fights if he's going to win. I favor Bradley, but with the possibility of a great camp and development for Devon, it'd be foolish to count out Alexander.
I see Bradley vs. Alexander as a 50/50 fight. They've both had some trouble with some lesser opponents, but I think they are eachother's best that they've ever fought and it will bring out the best in both of them. Bradley is fast on his toes and with his hands, but has some defensive holes... Alexander has a sharp jab and is a great counter-puncher, but may have trouble executing a game plan once he actually starts getting tagged... Who the hell knows how this fight goes??? Thats what makes it so intriguing.. especially the fact that Khan would be slated to fight the winner... I'm excited.
I wouldnt quite say that Devon doesnt have a chance but IMO, I dont think he will beat Bradley due to Bradley's will and determination to win...Dont get me wrong, Devon will bring the best out of Bradley but at the end of the day, Bradley will out work.
I dont' altogether disagree and I've said I respect Bradley as a fighter and as a man for that matter. I think Alexander showed against Kotelinik that he's not going without someone finishing him off. There were times when I think Kotelnik could have finished him but he ****ed up and left the kid breathing, if Tim can't finish, him the kid ain't going.
I can respect that and for the most part those are some of my reason for giving the edge to Bradley when they do meet. Dont get me wrong...I'm not taking anything from Devon on why I'm picking Bradley to win. Lets not forget the Holt fight for Bradley...Bradley was Knocked down 2 and that fight...He fought his way back and outclassed Holt. I know Devon is no Holt but we cant overlook the toughness and the determination that Bradley showed in that fight. I agree that Devon will not fold (he will go out like that as you stated) but I just think ( my opinion of course) Bradley's willingness and his determination will when this for him. Devon IMO, has to tools to beat Bradley but from what I've seen on Devon is that he sometimes neglect his gameplan and fight down to his comp....Doing that against a guy of Bradley's calibar will get him beat IMO.
I agree that Devon's greatest flaw is he can get rattled and/or panic, if he does this agaisnt Bradley, it could definitely be something that costs him. Cunningham is going to have to be smart and work on relaxing Devon and remaining focused on the plan as well. Gonna be a great fight, I'm really looking forward to it, I really like both guys.
Thats one thing I can respect about Cunningham is his ability to make his fighter focus on the task at hand...(off topic) I like how Cunningham dismissed Cory Spinks for his lack of discipline. With that being said, I fully expect Devon to have a new focus for his fight with Bradley. Gotta be honest with you though dude, how **** has been working out for me lately, I might have cursed Bradley...From Football, to MMA, to boxing, my picks have been rather shitty! atsch None the less, I'm really looking forward to this match up...I dont think that was the best Devon we've seen when he faced Kotlenik. I expect both Alexander and Bradley to be on top of their game when they meet in Jan. So for the sake of my pride
I think Bradley's aggression and swaring will trouble Alexander a lot Kotlenik gave him hell but lost cause he just didnt throw enough I think we may have an interesting balance of power I think Bradley swarms Alexander and beats him But Khan keeps Bradley out of range and bombs him from a far like a 10X better version of Holt and Alexander's speed and punch out put out work Khan
this is one of the better big fights I mean face it Floyd Shane Manny Margo Cotto Foreman were not really a mystery on paper and played out to the consensus in the ring Alexander Bradley is so 50/50 I really dont know who is gonna win and neither fighter is a safe bet
