1.You just revealed what a dumb **** you are its spelt Australia 2. Fedor is actually the second coming of the 'TX' havnt you heard? 3. Oright matey now im going to go hop on my kangaroo and put another shrimp on the barby
I think that Shogun vs Evans is going to be very competitive. However, Shogun only really needs to land one solid shot, and I think that he will.
I don't see it being competitive. I can't see how Rashad makes it out of the 1st round. The punch from Rampage which gave Rashad spaghetti legs and almost led to a KO was an innocuous, grazing punch that barely connected and wasn't particularly vicious or powerful. It only underlined the near-glass status of Rashad's jaw. Even if Shogun isn't fully fit, even if he isn't peak sharpness, all he has to do is tap that chin one single time and IT IS AAAAAALL OVER.
1. 'It's' I assume you mean. Dumb **** 2. So he's a terrible actress in red leather now? I haven't heard that. But I am a 'dumb ****' so what do you expect 3. Fair dinkum cobber. Care to stick to the point of the thread next time, ya flaming galah!
Time to bump, I guess. Things have changed enough to alter the p4p rankings in my eyes, and it's always fun. I disagree. Fedor isn't there because I simply don't put Heavyweights in the rankings, it ruins the point of p4p. And I would definitely stand by my decision to have put Fitch above Penn, especially as Penn's been kicked out of his division essentially and Fitch is the second in command of that division, without question. We'll find out at 126 or whenever it is. And lol, Lyoto Machida, how the mighty have fallen. I do think I should've slotted Koscheck in there somewhere. Seems shameful to put Fitch and Shields in there and not Koscheck, but saying that Shields has done a lot and has earned a place and Machida, Penn and Evans deserved their positions. Then 1 - GSP 2 - Anderson Silva 3 - Jose Aldo 4 - Frankie Edgar 5 - Shogun 6 - Jon Fitch 7 - Jake Shields 8 - Lyoto Machida 9 - BJ Penn 10 - Rashad Evans Now 1 - GSP 2 - Anderson Silva 3 - Jose Aldo 4 - Frankie Edgar 5 - Shogun 6 - Jon Fitch 7 - Jake Shields 8 - BJ Penn 9 - Dominick Cruz 10 - Rashad Evans Everything's pretty much the same, Penn moves up one, Cruz moves in. I think that's fairly accurate, mostly just a change to Sherdog's as I don't completely agree. I have to put GSP at #1 and Silva at #2 and disagree that Anderson is the best. Pound 4 Pound, I definitely think GSP could beat Anderson Silva, I think the difference in weight is the only reason he might not. Plus, in their respective divisions, nobody can touch GSP, he might as well move out of it. Koscheck couldn't beat him, Fitch won't, Shields won't, Condit definitely won't, Lytle won't, Sanchez won't, BJ obviously won't, Alves won't, and Nate Diaz won't. GSP is on another level, Fitch and Koscheck are one below him, and everyone else is one below them, imo. Aldo third because, honestly, how can you not? Fourth Edgar, same goes there, now Sherdog have Fitch #5 and Rua #6 which seems fair but I disagree. While Fitch is definitely the top dog of the WW division in my eyes next to Penn and Shields outside of GSP, I think Rua is one of those fighters that you can make excuse for most if not all of his losses. While he was disappointing pre-Liddell in the UFC, he's a savage fighter and I take his pre-ufc career onboard as well as his raping of Machida. I think Rashad could definitely beat him, but it won't be pretty, and Rua's never been dominated like Fitch was, fair enough it was GSP but he's not the stand up technician Rua is, and he relies a lot on his takedowns and ground game, he doesn't have any other areas where I think he stands out. Rua's ground game is underestimated, Rashad won't have fun on the ground with him. So yeah, most people might put Fitch one higher, but I just can't, especially considering Rua's the champion, would seem a bit insulting to put a challenger higher than him, especially when the challenger isn't a threat to the champion. Jake Shields one higher than BJ Penn, but Penn has the chance to leapfrog both him and Fitch if he beats Fitch in their upcoming fight. Penn I've put there mostly because of his lacklustre performances in the Edgar fights and that I think both Fitch and Shields may be able to take down Penn, especially when he's at a higher weight, we'll have to see what happens really. Dominick Cruz had to go in, it's a shame he's so low for a champion, but I haven't seen too much of him to make any commanding evidence of him going higher than the rest. And Rashad at #10 because he's one of the top LHW, despite getting tagged all the ****ing time. Gilbert Melendez is on Sherdog's list but I must admit I haven't saw him fight before, or Aoki, it's on my list of things to do. This isn't a list that I think everyone should follow, it's just my opinion on who's the top 10 in my eyes, a lot of people could probably slot a few other fighters in there, I love how stacked MMA P4P rankings constantly are compared to boxing, whose last few P4P stars have usually been inactive and such.
Fedor could still beat many top heavyweights today. He made a mistake and loss and all of a sudden his out of the top 10? atsch Bj penn is my boy and last time i check he loss twice to edgar. Just saying:think
Look dude, I get it, alright. I just don't put Heavyweights in my p4p. I agree completely, Fedor is being shat on a bit too much after being caught in a triangle, but even if you have Fedor in the rankings when he's not really fought measurable competition for today's heavyweight division, you can't really attack someone for dropping him from it after a loss against a guy who is relevant in today's heavyweight rankings (Sylvia and Arlovski are yesterday's news), especially as he shouldn't be in there in the first place.
ok how about cain velazquez? He just beat lesnar who last time i check was in the top 10 P4P. Velazquez has 4 good wins against top heavyweight contenders. rothwell-Kongo-Big Nog-Lesnar
I'm usually the first person to laugh at Monaros ridiculous hatred of all things 'Zuffa', but wtf man? Their is life outside of the UFC and WEC. How can you consider yourself a hardcore MMA fan if you've never seen Gilbert fight? The guy is tremendous.

lol gilbert melendez is one of the best and he just beat that supposedly 2nd best lightweight aoki. I just don't like their camp cuz they're bunch of cocky motha****a's...melendez-diaz brothers-shields etc
I like Cesar Gracies camp but I can see why people don't like the Diaz bro's. However Melendez always comes across as a good guy and is very well spoken, you don't see any of the 'thug' **** with Gilbert.
You must have missed the mayhem miller incident. Diaz threw the first punch but look who was there.. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOmmgHLO11o&feature=related[/ame]
Of course I seen it! This is one incident though, and whilst you can't defend the Cesar Gracie guys you got to admit that it was pretty disrespectful from Mayhem (who I think is great as well). If you watch other interviews with Melendez you'll see he's a good guy. Even Mayhem has come out and said he doesn't have any problems with him.
yea he seems like a nice guy. I watch many of his interview and seen couple of his fights. I hope he goes to ufc soon cuz there's so much more challenge for him @ 155. Edgar vs Melendez would be nice.
