Ortiz’s effort against Maidana, was more credible than Khan’s!

    That’s right guys. In the aftermath of Khan-Maidana, we’ve heard the following so far:
    • Cortez should have stopped the fight in the 10th (despite frequent complaints about referees stopping fights too early).
    • If Khan didn’t land the knockdown and Maidana didn’t deliberately try to elbow him in the face, the scorecards could have been very different.
    • If Khan didn’t stay on his bike in the final rounds, Maidana would have got to him.
    • If round 10 was longer, Maidana would have knocked his ass out.
    • Khan is on PEDs.
    And now, we have this gem from Bazooka:

    So guys, if there are any other things you can think of which can discredit Khan's victory on Saturday, list them here please. I'll start us off:

    Throwing body shots should be disallowed, and rabbit-punching should be made permissible. Khan’s a lucky boy. The scorecards would have been very different if this was implemented.

    Well he did, he got paid the same for 5 rounds worth of work, while Poor Khan had to go the full 12 rounds to get his money, taking brutal headshots while he was at it. Ortiz decided to sleep on the job and get paid for doing it

    People are just discrediting khans win because they don´t like him. Khan has a massive heart and guts, he proved it to everyone saturday.
    Ortiz on the other hand is a mental midget that makes zab look like benny leonard.
    He doesnt even want to be a boxer, atleastit doesnt look like it.

    I wouldn't write Ortiz off despite everything, he has immense talent. Maidana just shocked him in that fight, that's down to Ortiz's handlers they did not prepare him right. Khan came in knowing all about Maidana and was psychologically prepared to take Maidana's bombs.

    In a return I reckon Ortiz can beat Maidana if he sticks to his boxing and doesn't get drawn into a slugging match. Ortiz needs to get his confidence back, it will take him a few more fights. Ortiz lives to fight another day.

    This is obviously ignoring the fact that pretty much all the shots that have hurt or had Khan down have been shots that landed on his temple (much li David Haye actually). But of course, when you're desperately trying to discredit someone, you care very little for facts
