he was raising and tapping his gloves when he fought Barrera so its not a new thing.

and to be quite frank its just petty that people are citing this as a way to have a go at the bloke!

    This.

It's shocking. Imagine the response had Khan been KO'ed in the 10th? This place would have gone into meltdown.

He somehow got through the tenth and went on to win the fight.

People however are still having a go. The best that they seem to come up with is 'he needs to stick to a plan'

    laughable and pathetic.

He was a little undisiplined (sp!) in parts but it was over a 12 round fight and the other guy was also trying to impose his "gameplan".

I know having Roach in a corner these days guarantees a fighter has a perfect gameplan that he only has to follow to be victorius but even Freddie hasn't managed to find a way of stopping the other guy trying to win yet....;)

''Chris Hoy thinks that the day Chris Hoy starts to talk in the third person is the day Chris Hoy disappears up his own ass.''

    Grant1 agrees with Chris Hoy.

Anybody notice Amir after the fight on Saturday; ''lots of people say that Amir Khan has no chin - I proved that''

No Amir, you proved it WRONG.

He must have said it about 5 times.

    He's class.

Just a side note. Is it really talking in the 3rd person when you are putting across what other people are saying about you?

    I can't make my mind up....:think

He does need to stick to his game plan better! I think that is a very constructive criticism. Fair play after that right hand in the 10th anyone's game plan would go out the window. But he needs to really keep to his game plan for the full fight in future.

Too many fights like that will end his career very early.

Good interview, with some good points. However, talking in the third person is always funny.

I was certainly impressed with Khan, as I really did not believe he had that type of fight in him and I'm happy to say he proved me wrong.

Can someone try and explain quickly and concisely why this win was special?

Considering the whole of ESB labelled khan a glass jaw fraud. And Khan was able to take knockout artist maidana best shots and win a unanimous decision. I guess the win is special for Khan career.

It may well be one of those fight in five years we as fans look back on and say that was the real turning point in Amir's career.

cause he got hit on the chin in a way no one thought he could handle.....and he stood up and overcame. So in short, Amir Khan is the man!

Why would anyone waste their time trying to do that?

He could defeat Floyd and some people wouldn't be impressed with Khan.

I thought Khan would dominate the fight and win easily and emphatically.

Let's clarify. Carlos Maidana is a tough, hard hitting, but limited contender at 140lbs, who doesn't really have one notable victory to talk about besides over a prospect in Victor Ortiz.

    Khan beat a limited contender. I don't think it's a special victory.
