Haye was WBA champion after 3 fights. They must really rate the Cruiserweight division.

Haye's got his next two opponents lined up then.

"I have a mandatory defence against Mormeck then it's a Klitschko for sure"

"Well, I KO'd Mormeck but Wlad still wants a more of the money so instead I'm gonna fight the guy Wlad was too scared to fight, I'm gonna have an all British World Title Showdown with undefeated British Champ Derek Chisora, it's a fight everyone in Britain wants to see, it'll be bigger than Lewis v Bruno. We're worst enemies me and Del Boy y'know, yeah we hate each other, pay £14.99 to see me gang **** him on Sky Box Office!"

Where did you see that Mormeck is elevated to the WBA #1 position? I just checked the WBA website and they have not updated their ratings in over a month.

Boxrec doesn't list the WBA ratings, or any other alphabet ratings, for that matter. I just checked the WBA's website; they definitely have not updated their ratings since early November. Mormeck is still #12.

I wouldn't mind seeing this but only as long as it doesn't get in the way of Haye Vs Sprott.

haye is not gonna fight sprott, and he's not gonna fight chisora either.
boxing is a business, the harrison fight was great business, it was a sell out and a fight that even people who dont usually follow boxing got interested in.
why would haye fight another challanger for **** money when the harrison fight is available?
i dont know where some people get this idea that haye's gonna fight sprott, chisora, tyson fury etc.
a well known british rival for a mega payday and very low risk. can you honestly tell me you would'nt have done the same.

    Firstly, it's more than that.

Secondly, are you seriously defending Haye's decision to fight Harrison?

    :think

    No thats not it...

Mormeck is a past WBA champion for many years, hence the boost in rankings in the new division.

Same goes for Tomasz Adamek. Adamek is a past IBF champion, so he got a big boost(Number 3) in the IBF rankings.

Thats why Haye got a WBA title shot vs. Valuev so quickly, due to the fact that he's was a past WBA champion.....

The WBA is a joke anyways. The best titles(best as in best of the worst) are as follows: 1. WBC, 2. IBF, 3. WBO/WBA

And what 3 fights are you talking about?

Haye only had 2 HW fights prior to fighting for the WBA HW Title...... Bonin(who wasn't ranked by WBA at the time and the only ranking he had was 15 by the WBC), and Monte Barrett......

well who else could haye have fought?
eddie chambers? tony thompson? how much interest would that have generated?
audley harrison was the european champion and very well known in the uk.
it's not ideal, but the heavyweight division is so poor at the minute, haye went for his best option. anyone else would have done the same.
