Can't recall the last time I saw a fighter (Pascal) having soo much trouble looking his opponent (Hopkins) in the eye at the traditional face off. Not that it means a thing. Just interesting.
It's interesting that Taylor and Calzaghe, who didn't play in to Hops' mind games, ended up beating him (not without controversy, of course ). Tito, Pavlik, and Tarver were shaken and got schooled. Pascal looks intimidated to me!
I hope that Pascal will kick Hopkins ass into retirement. But to be honest i dont think Pascal can keep his head cool against Hopkins, this mind game showed a bad sign. Hopkins by boring UD One thing is for sure. Hopkins knows how to beat Pascal, this fight would never have happend if he had doubts!
bhop a 40 off year old man playing childish games with another mans belt. what a bad example he is,and if hes good enough and fresh enough still why waste time with mind games!. like he feel he needs to get into someones head as just turning up and fighting them isnt enough for him to beat them!. i hope pascal gives bhop the fight of his life,and makes him feel old.saying tht though i feel bhop will outbox him. but this being in canda,i imagine the ref might not allow bhops dirty tactics bull****.
I must admit that was very intelligent from B-Hop. But then again, Pascal not wanting to stare at Hopkins looked kind of fake. I'm wondering. Since Pascal probably knows he can't really intimidate him, maybe he wants to play in his head by looking scared, so that the old man will just be like ''he's just another youngster I'll school''. We'll see during the weight-in and most importantly during the fight, I guess.
