wow there was some great fights but i have to give it to Sergio becaue he had me on the edge of my seat yelling at the tv in the pavlik fight.
and out of my seat screaming at the tv in the willams fight.

tied for #2 for me was
Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Michael Katsidis
    Amir Khan vs. Marcos Maidana

both of those fights where great with great plots built around them.

Kahn/Maidana bout was the best for me. Lots of action, solid hits, both fighters were in danger of being knocked out only to make a comeback. Great fight.

It was HBO's highest non-ppv ratings grabber for the year.

I overall just went with JMM/Katsidis over Khan/Maidana.

When watching both back i just slightly prefer it having initially thought Khan/Maidana beat it right after the fight.

This is a bit humiliating but I have not watched martinez pavlik yet, despite being a big martinez fan nowadays, the fight aired at 5 in the moring here and I was drunk and fell a sleep waiting for the fight to happen, for some reason never watched it. Think I will watch it tonight, but of all those fights I think khan vs maidana should be fight of the year.

Wow man you are missing out. Martinez was a huge underdog in that fight not mention giving up about 15 pounds to Pavlik. I even bet on a Pavlik TKO.

However Martinez just beat him from pillar to post for the first 4 rounds then Pavlik started mounting somewhat of a comeback only to make Martinez mad and get more offensive which got Pavlik badly cut. Martinez then unleashed quick flurries to Pavliks cuts covering him in blood. That was an awesome fight knowing that Pavlik can end a fight with one punch and Martinez kept his hands down at all times.

    Great great fight.

I really find that hard to believe considering not 1 person that watches boxing that i know watched that fight or even cared about it.

    But you never know.
