According to Boxrec he fought 6 days ago and knocked out some can and is fighting in 2 days against another can. They may be bums but he's keeping active.

Inevitably there will be comparisons to his brother, but I actually do hope Luis becomes a top fighter. That would be great to see.

Here's a video of his first fight in case any of you haven't seen it.

Im impressed for a debut or 2nd fight that was good. He is in terrific shape, his punches are straight his hooks are tight. He has his hands down a little but he seems like he has a good corner and training. The opponent looked decent, he looked in shape and game just out gunned. Not the usual flabby or completely out matched guy fed to a fighter in the early stages. I hope he does well

I heard he and edwin had a fist fight and he ko'd edwin... but i think edwin was under the influence. I read the story in one of Doug Fischer's mailbags a few months before edwin passed.

Yeah, apparently he hits really hard. He looks good and it'll be interesting to see how long this KO streak continues.

He seems to hit hard, but his trainer might give him a hint not to block punches with his head. Against cans like this it probably isn't much of a problem, but it might help in the later stages in his career.

Really hope he lives to the expectations of his brother, that would be a great story for boxing and one everyone will appreciate

  8. We have to see him fight better guys to see how he'll compare with Edwin.

The thing with Edwin Valero was that, though he appeared extremely crude as he started his career, you got to appreciate his finer skills as he faced better opponents. The improvement he made from out-slugging Mosquera to win his first championship to out-boxing DeMarco to win his last fight was remarkable.

I've always maintained that had Valero moved to 140 after beating DeMarco, he would've beaten all the top junior welterweights. It still pains me that such a talented boxer could waste all that talent...

Come on, guys. That's Edwin with slight facial reconstruction. It's obvious now that his death was infact a hoax and he's waited a bit in order to learn the orthdox stance (that's probably why his defense isn't looking so tight) and lose some weight to throw off suspicions.

If Edwin were my big brother I'd want to follow in his footsteps.

Why are you all glorifying Edwin, the guy was a wife beater and killer. I hope the best for his brother.

It's not glorifing Edwin, It's hoping his brother does better than he did in life and in the ring.
