very interesting video. JMM turning down a 50/50 split for a Pac rematch in 2004 is one of the weirdest decisions of the decade, especially considering Pac was the undisputed champ.
.....and yet its been explained to a ******* like yourself many times...... .......just a few days back you were bitching and demeaning Erik Morales for forcing Pacquiao to wear Winning gloves in his first fight with Morales..... It was'nt Morales who demanded it be Winning gloves, it was Murad Muhamad who sold Pacquiao out by not dotting his i's and crossing his T's in the fight contract. The same Murad Muhamad that would have taken advantage of Pacquiao and pocketed more money than the fighter had the Marquez rematch been made right away........ How many ****ing times do you have to hear it to believe it???????? Marquez and Pacquiao each made 650K in their first fight. The fight turned out to be Epic....... A rematch would have anticipated double the interest and double the revenue.......yet Arum and Muhamad were in cahoots to pocket that extra money that would have come because their initial fight was so great, all for themselves. How the **** do you fight for 650K......turn in an epic fight, and only have your promoter tell you "I'm paying you 750K to do it again."?????????? Off of that fight, you would think that the next fight would generate much more interest and money to warrant more than a 100K payhike to both fighters...... At the time JMM was unwilling to let Arum benefit from all the profits that he had earned with his blood, sweat, and tears.......he was not about to let Arum dry hump him. Pacquiao so happens is'nt a very bright individual, and he'd sign anything put in front of him, as he did with signing to fight Morales and failing to read the stipulations that called for him to wear Winning gloves. ......and as he did with signing with two different promoters in Arum and GBP.......and the list goes on. You are not going to ****ing tell me that both Marquez and Pacquiao only deserved a 100K ****ing raise coming off of that ****ing battle. .......you're a ****ing idiot if you believe a 100K payhike was fair to both, not just JMM! Now again, what happened was that Arum proposed to JMM 750K.......Marquez countered with a number of their own (Arum alleges it was 1.5 mil) who the hell knows as Arum would lie to his dying mother........ .....but the point is that you negotiate from there......thats what Nacho Beristain was expecting from Arum, a ****ing negotiation.......but instead, Nacho learns that Arum has just made a Morales-Pacquiao matchup...... ....which btw, and you ****ing have heard it many times here, is what Arum wanted all along. Arum just used Marquez as a front to get Murad Muhamad to agree more readily to an Erik Morales fight. Morales had just lost the trilogy to MAB, and Arum wanted to re-establish his cash cow Morales and have him fight the man who handed MAB his arse on a silver platter!!!! ......now whats so ****ing hard to understand about that????
Don't take it so personal. I still think JMM should've taken the fight even for 750K. Same with Pac (which to his credit he agreed to). Much to prove and superstardom looming right behind it.
......and btfw, how the hell is it now that Marquez is demanding twice what he made vs Mayweather when over at the scene that talks about boxing, Arum was quoted as saying that Marquez was overpricing himself by asking for what he made vs Mayweather???? http://www.***********.com/?m=show&id=33443 .......just ****ing type boxing s c e n e where the asteriks are and it will get you to the ****ing link with the ****ing Arum quote.... Forgive my language forum, but this ****ing clown PH|LLA who's been here for years and already knows the facts of what transpired between Arum and Marquez and the non-negotiation on Arum's part that led to the first Morales-Pac fight......has ****ing upset me by questioning and asking something he already knows the full answer to. I just had to ****ing vent and let it out!
You already know every ****ing detail that I just posted, but you want to come in here and pretend like there is'nt an explanation to why Marquez turned down that Arum offer!:nono
You know the $650K is based on what HBO is willing to pay the fighters rights ($1.5 mil pay pot for both fighters)? So you need to blame HBO on that one. The question is really can Arum turn it to a PPV event, the only way JMM or Pac would have been paid more than $750k each during that time. I don't know the answer to that one.
hey man hear me out mosley set himself up vs that last guy, (very safe opponent who will run) making himself look bad and over the hill knowing the pacquiao camp will fight him due to this freddie roach did say in the recent 24/7 "we saw your last two fights" obviously admitting they were confident going into a fight vs a guy who looked like **** dont know if mosley is that smart but if he went out and killed his last opponent regardless of who it was, team pacquiao wouldnt have it just poking at it i dont think mayweather is going to let this happen, mayweather knows mosley can knock that boy out, time for mayweather to call out pacquiao
