I trained with Collazo in SC last year. Dude is not a bum and doesn't party. He always takes long lay offs, but hes fighting again...no doubt about it.
ohh look somoene else that does not know how to score a fight. Repeat after me, winning the last 3rd of a fight does not win you the fight unless you KO your oponent. I alwasy thought it was disiplined, certianly hope so - he is one of my faviorates thesedays. always cheered him on since the hatton fight. Good fighter, hope he does well in the future.
I like Collazo. The Ricky Hatton fight was very close, I thought they were going to give it to him but I had Hatton winning. You could argue that if it was judged as a 36 minute round that Collazo won though. A lot of people forget that this was the first South Paw Hatton had fought in about 5 years and he generaly had a style that was bad for Hatton. Then I saw the Mosley fight where he lost clearly but Mosley is still an amazing fighter when up for a fight as he showed against Margarito. I saw the Berto one on youtube and again if judged as a whole he looks a lot better. I'd of given it to him but there was a lot of close rounds and the judges were obviously giving them to Berto. It is understandable that he's lost his pasion when he can't get the fights he deserves but that's just the game talking crap can take you far.
Really? i remember a guy a few years ago showing pics of Collazo at about 190 pounds and wasted off his mind. If im not mistaken he had a couple of beers in his hands. Guy also said Collazo loves to party. So how was the training?
He definately got robbed in the Hatton fight. The Berto fight i think was up for grabs in the 12th round and Berto just finished stronger. Despite everyone hating on Berto in that fight i believe he won. I cant believe that rematch was not made. That had the makings of a PW-Martinez rivalry.
Sorry but he clearly lost BOTH fights, he clearly lost 7 rounds in BOTH fights, he just didn't do enough, against Berto 2 judges had him up after 10, 95-94, but he ran out of gas and lost 113-114. Being inactive is terrible for him.
he's on twitter constantly saying that he'll be back n he's not going anywhere as far as boxing is concerned
