This thread is not about Pac. Even though Pac had gotten us used to a high standard by fighting Barrera and Marquez in his first two fights at 126 and Morales in his first fight at 130, that is not the norm. Usually a fighter takes a fight or two to ease into a new division. Pac was chasing Oscar, moving up in weight, and fighting only 3 months after a grueling war against JMM. To say taking a soft touch qualifies as ducking is bull**** imo.

Most fighters at that level wouldn't even take 2 fights in such a short timespan. The marquez and odlh fights were less than 9 mths apart

Possibly not , but the fact remains , Hatton didnt clean out the division when he had the opportunity to. Not fighting Witter will be remembered.

So Ph|lla are you saying that the #1 person in each division can't duck anyone in their division since they are ahead of them all? I want to comment more but I'm not 100% on where you're going with this..

It's not about Pac...I just used him as an example, since I think you don't watch any fights that don't involve Pac.

All I'm saying is, if someone is going to claim they are champs in a division, conquered a division, then atleast fight the best in the division and don't duck the real champ, ESPECIALLY when he called you out.

    get it.

Excellent question, one which wont be answered sensibly, but something that has happend for years.
    P Williams avoided S Dzinziruk
T Cloud pulled out and backed away from fighting Z Erdei
Hopkins ducked Calzaghe for years, until he knew he had to fight him, as he was losing credit.
Berto (based in America) is doing this also

These are just a few small examples

Not as dumb as jumping on every single Wildcard fighter just because Mannys from that club.
What I said is what actually happend, Manny and Floyd agreed to everything IMO most here assumed that money would be what causes the fight to not be made, However Floyd showed he was ready to take the fight and pretty much agreed to an even split purse, However once the topic of Blood testing came up, all negotiations came to a sudden end.

Now Manny is talking about his willingness to take the test, all the sudden he and his camp grew some balls to proceed with the testing or is it the fact that Manny and his people know that Floyd is tied up with legal issues and are just barking cus they know that under these circumstances Floyd will not be available until its taken care of... in other words Manny and his people and fans alike will claim a small victory and claim Floyds ducking...

and you want to talk about who dont know ****? look at the fighter in question, since bringing Konz on board Manny has been sued three times, the mother ****er just signs anything while Manny is un aware, in addition Mannys agreement with Konz is that if Manny should need anything done in terms of Money while Manny is out of town Konz gets a 20% cut of it...
Where am I going with this?
While Manny was out of Town Manny contacted Konz and told him to give both his mother and his aunt 1000 dollars each to go shopping, Konz did exactly what Manny told him to do, but he also did what their contract stated as well, meaning Mannys mother and his aunt each got 800 dollars...

:verysad Soto lost but Guzzy struggled. He used a lot of holding and running to outpoint him. A win is a win I guess....but he was NEVER ready for PAC. And Guzzy never could match PAc's speed either.

PAC never set out to conquer the 135 division...that was just a logical fight on his way up to Jr WW or 147. It wouldn't have been smart to jump right up to 140 or 147 from 130. So he made a pit stop and grabbed a title.

PAC had bigger fish to fry and he beat A LOT of better figthers than Nate or Casa or Juan Diaz.

I understand what you are saying and see your point, but it could also be considered a duck if you have a champion who is avoiding a dangerous contender. If J Taylor had of not fought K Pavlik when Pavlik was banging on the door it could have been considered a duck also

At some point and time fans will realize that these guys FIGHT FOR MONEY not all that other BS we wish they did. they are all hungry for the glory when their young trying to prove themselves. fighters that are talented enough to get to the point where they are making 7-8 figures a fight are damn sure going to pick and chose WHO and when THEY FIGHT, THEY ALL do it the only exception to the rule is the fighter of who the fan is a fan of because in their eyes their fighter is different or they say back when such and such fought it was different NO IT WAS NOT
