    - Recall Cotto ih his first 6 rounds against Margarito - he was unbelievable.

    - Just his stamina let him down, but those 6 rounds were some of the b best boxing I've ever seen.

Yes he did and I stated that along with full credit. But I would have put my money on Mosley in the rematch. You know, the one the warrior Cotto never gave.

And what is it with this Cotto was destroying Margo thru 6 rounds until his stamina let him down? It was like 4 rounds to 2. Hardly a destruction. Maybe I'm the only one who got to watch Round 2 though.

Clean effective punching, ring generalship and defence don't impress you then? But punching a lot of thing air does... :huh I also don't get this stuff about the fight even being close, I really can't see how you have it for Cotto he clearly outfought, then outboxed Mosley over the course of the fight.

First of all someone in the thread said Cotto vs Margo the first 6 rounds, was some of the best boxing he's ever seen. 4 rounds to 2 is hardly that. Hardly that. It's just some more overrating of Cotto.

And I'll say it again, I don't believe Mosley fought his best fight. Nonetheless a good win for Cotto, probably his best. But I would have put money on Mosley in a rematch. And lets not make it look like he dominated Mosley. It was a 7-5 fight at best for him.

He is not at Cotto's level now. He probly has a bigger name and I have to say he has improved lately, he still has a weak chin but he took some big shots in his last fight. He has a style that can be exciting which means as long as he's good enough to fight at world level he'll have a fan base. If you look at other fighters that had the type of advantages Khan had (huge amature expierience, high pay checks from day one, great exposure, good match making, great nutritionists, option to train with good coaches) then he's a long way behind where De La Hoya and Mayweather were at this stage. I don't see him achieving much more than Cotto in boxing terms since Cotto is a free weight champ but he will probly make a huge name for himself. People forget Cotto was considerd p4p number 1 by many before the loss to Margo but now he's 'mediocore'.

Because that's the level that 99% of boxers will never get to.

I heard the Mosley fight was very close but I gave him all the first 6 against Margarito, Just my opinion. Cotto was never quite great but he did take on who ever was put in front of him. If Arum had made a Mosley rematch Cotto would have taken it.

If Cotto burns himself out halfway through a fight just to be winning the fight then he's not elite as people have claimed.

Elite fighters don't punch themselves out a d then buckle under an onslaught.

Why is Khan even being compared to Cotto?
