    Ricardo Mayorga vs. Michael Walker

    Round 1

Mayorga is the aggressor but staying behind a jab. Walker is negative and evades.

    10-9 Mayorga

    Round 2

Mayorga comes forward and flurries repeatedly. Walker shells up and waits for Mayorga to finish before swatting at him underhand. Walker is starting to fight back as the round goes on, catching Mayorga with an overhand right and just letting his hands go with regularity but missing a lot. Mayorga is actually outboxing him with a jab off the backward step and lands a huge cross that knocks Walker across the ring.

    10-9 Mayorga.

    Round 3

Mayorga eats a few frenzied looping shots delivered by Walker out of his high guard, and lands some thudding body hooks and hammers down with some heavy right hand blows. Walker is starting to show signs of being affected by the nonstop downpour of leather, still protecting his face but having his entire upper body rocked by Mayorga's force. Still Walker tries to score points, leaning against Mayorga and tapping the sides of his body. Mayorga simply backs off with his hands down and starts teeing off with very hard right hands that move Walker. They exchange (and miss) some flurries at close range.

    Round 4

Walker comes forward and shoeshines to the flanks of Mayorga, who leans against the ropes and complains about something to the referee. Walker takes advantage by blasting him in the face while distracted. Mayorga gets annoyed and pushes his way off the ropes and starts trying to box with his jab snapped out from the hip. Mayorga turns his head to slip a few Walker jabs, and circles on the outside in either direction. Walker walks into a couple of lead right hands as he backs Mayorga up but only catches the tail end of them and isn't hurt. Walker gets him against the ropes and works the body with big tight-fisted swerves from either side. Mayorga can't get off the ropes and just leans back against them, complaining all the while to the ref.

    10-9 Walker!

My guess is that after this it will be Cloud-Zuniga and then Solis-Austin after that as the main event.

It's hard to tell if they have given any production clues, as my Espanol is no bueno. :conf

    Round 5

Walker pushes his jab into Mayorga's face and flaps it repeatedly into the Nicaraguan's nose. Walker brings a few right hands around to land as Mayorga backs up and tries to get Walker's respect with his high-slung jab. BIG right haymaker from Mayorga is blocked. Walker keeps coming forward and touching Mayorga's face with the flat of his left knuckles - not punching him so much as tickling him with little baby jabs. It's bothering Mayorga. Ricardo is still trying to get the ref's attention about some perceived infraction on Walker's part. He's wasting too much time on that and getting walked down and outfought.

    10-9 Walker

    48-47 Mayorga

    Round 6

Walker dives into the pocket with his forearms pinned together in front of his face, and starts pressing up against Mayorga and cracking short whiplike punches anywhere he can - head, body, arms. Mayorga is not taking any serious damage but is getting irritated and confused, with his offense pretty much limited to big hooks and other power punches (mostly missing) delivered when he shoves Walker off for a moment's separation. AGAIN, Mayorga leans against the ropes while Walker shoeshines. Mayorga drops his hands altogether and lets Walker throw about three dozen unanswered punches, while looking at someone at ringside and making silly faces. Suddenly Mayorga fights his way off the ropes with some nice uppercuts that drive Walker back, but it was far too little to steal the round.

Saw the over/under on my gambling website for the Cloud Zuniga fight is only 5.5 rounds...I am very tempted to "bet the farm" on the over. Thoughts?

Also, thank you for the play by play. Are these fights on television?

    Round 7

Mayorga is having some fun, thrusting his jab out from too far away and grunting in macho fashion. Walker hangs back until Mayorga is done clowning, and then begins to slide his way inside with his high guard and soft trickle of jabs. Walker shoeshines the body and Mayorga takes long breaks offensively while absorbing blows, breaking the action up every now and then with a chopping right hand to get Walker's attention.

He's being a dink, and letting himself possibly lose this on activity.

    77-76 Walker
