    Round 1

Austin stands his ground and throws jabs and right-handed digs to the body. Solis alternates between clamping his gloves to his face, ad******g his trunks, and throwing line drive jabs into Austin's chest. Austin slaps with a right hand around the side and is countered with a jab on the lip. They start trading leather in close quarters. Austin starts to circle off to his left with his jab snapping out on every step. Solis throws some wild shots, including a high right hand and an uppercut from across the ring.

    Interesting, close round. I think it's Austin's.

    Round 2

Austin measures Solis with his jab and throws it from his outpost, anchor dropped. Solis launches some high right hands and catches Austin with one. Austin is made to budge by the advances of Solis and starts to ponderously slide away while leaving a double jab in his wake. Solis pressures the taller fighter consistently but isn't terribly active with his hands.

Austin sucks. Weak jab and he's getting outworked by the fatter, shorter man.

    Round 3

Austin sticks his jab out into Solis' face and leaves it there, borderline illegally. Solis tries to thread his own jab around and up into Austin's face. Austin lands a big right hand to the head of Solis. They push at each other with their forearms, throwing huge bombs (mostly rights for both) in between some wrestling and sumo-shoving. Solis watches a short Austin hook curl around just an inch from his face and lands his right hand straight up the pipe. Austin throws about a dozen jabs, using a couple to parry Solis shots and the rest as cover while he turns Solis a full 360 degrees. Solis is lying in wait and exploding with one or two punches every few seconds.

    29-28 OS

Solis worked him over in the 3rd, from top to bottom, and Austin even did a little dance. Completely different levels of skill between the two.

Like it or not, many of those weak ass jabs are scoring and if this goes to the score cards, Austin's activity level could make the difference.

Is there anything to distinguish Ray Austin from Michael Grant?
