I love B-Hop (obviously) and I hope I'm wrong, but I fear Pascal wins in style

Just re-watched Hopkins vs Jones II. I can't see how B-Hop beats Pascal on that performance, he has even less stamina now than when his stamina stopped him from gaining a convincing win over Joe Calzaghe in 2008. My own opinion is that if the Hopkins from the Pavlik fight in '08 was the guy getting into the ring tomorrow with Pascal, we would see another special Hopkins win, as the gap between Hopkins and Pascal in terms of technical ability is huge. But once you are over 40, every year has the potential to make a massive difference to your physical condition.

Just re-watched Pascal vs Dawson. I think whenever Dawson opened up, the gulf in class and ability was pretty clear, but he just didn't seem to want to go for it the way he should. In saying that, Pascal is a decent fighter, young, strong, hungry. And despite his own stamina issues, he should be able to fight at B-Hop's pace for 12 rounds with ease.

My fear is that Pascal outworks Hopkins in almost every round, and becomes the first man to convincingly defeat B-Hop since Roy Jones in 1993. And I have an even darker fear - that B-Hop will become so tired and passive in the later rounds that a Bayless-style hasty referee could stop the fight.

Let me say now - I will be keeping my fingers crossed for a B-Hop win, and I will be so so so happy to eat a TITANIC bowl of crow if it happens.... but I just can't see it. Not this time. Father Time is here.

If Hopkins does win, I think something really really special will have been achieved, because a 46 year old former middleweight without a win over a top 10 ranked fighter in two years just should not be capable of beating the 27 year old The Ring light-heavyweight champion of the world!!!!

    Hoping, but not expecting. :bbb

I'm a huge fan of both Pascal and Hopkins.

If Barrera got me into boxing, Hopkins made me a boxing junkie.

Pascal is from MTL, fights everyone, never backs down.

I hope Pascal wins, but I know Hopkins can take it.

The one thing that Hopkins is a master of is to make a supposed boxing contest a non-fight.

......expect a John Ruiz type performance by Hopkins.....whether thats good enough to beat Pascal, its likely not going to happen in Pascal's home country, but we're sure to hear Hopkins once again ***** that he was robbed.

I dont see him winning, Pascals style is akward as all **** its like catching a wet bar of soap, and he uses his legs well to I mean its not like he is your mayorga like Akwardness its more of he does have ability to evade shots as well.
Hopkins will not be able to keep up with a high paced fight that Pascal will bring... look at it this way, atleast he lost to a champion who did beat Dawson

Styles make fights and Pascal ain't gonna trick bhop. He is sloppy Pascal and Hopkins will take advantage of that. Hopkins the world's best underdog.
