I can't believe all this negative talk about Teddy. You guys do realize he would literally kill someone for Povetkin? Even if it wasn't necessary!
Atlas needs to let this kid be a swarmer like he was. If he's going to do anything, go back to the Cus book and put a little bob and weave in to help him close the distance more effectively, or employ a jab on the offensive, NOT sit back and hunt and peck. This was a six foot six inch journeyman against whom it would have great work to have Povetkin come in under his wide waving shots and work with both hands, looking to take him out. Povetkin isn't Michael Grant, don't train him like he is. Real shame.
That's interesting. He didn't appear to be favoring it or nursing it during the course of the fight, and he landed a huge right hand in the 10th. :think Also, before they read the scores Povetkin was holding his right arm out to have one of the corner men remove his glove. They cut the tape and unlaced it and then just yanked on it violently like a shoe that's half a size too small. They certainly weren't treating it gingerly.
Kevin Johnson broke both of his hands and feet and elbows and shoulders and knees in the second half of the first round against Vitali. And hips. ...KJ is a warrior.
He was complaining that he needs a new trainer and told them to get Freddy Roch on the phone.:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
