Ive tried to watch his fight with Marquez a few times now because of the buzz from everyone on here. But I cant get past the first couple of rounds. Katsidis has the most annoying style. Hunchbacked, one foot forward at a time, no lateral movement, get in close and throw some hooks. I cant watch that for 12 rounds. His socks are gay too. Hes like a bad smell that wont go away. Am I missing something?
He certainly doesnt have the worst style in terms of excitement factor. He's an action fighter. He's just very limited. Still.... I'd LOVE to see him fight Urbaldo Antillion.
Yes you are. He is one of the most popular and watchable fighters. I don't know what the hell is wrong with you, but I wouldn't be proud of it. Seriously, don't mention it again, or people are going to think you are ****ed in the head. It's not like a "Dirrell beat Froch" kinda of thing, where there is room for doubt. You can say that and people will know it is just an opinion and can respect it either way. But saying Katsidis is an unwatchable fighter? Seriously, do you even like boxing? Perhaps you should **** off back to watching pro wrestling or something, cause the answer is "no you don't like boxing"
When he swings and misses, it is quite ugly I must admit.. but I enjoy watching him fight. He has enough power to knock someone out at any point and his chin is suspect enough that he himself can be knocked out at any point. His style is terrible though for the chin that he has. He should try to adapt to becoming more of a defensive boxer-puncher style fighter, but that may be asking too much. The guy isn't exactly.... fundamentally-sound...
What he lacks in 'style' he more than makes up for with heart and courage...and he may not have won but his style was good enough to sit one of the greatest pound for pounders on his ass...
Like some people have said already he has a couple outstanding qualities like heart and power. Don't judge him by that fight alone, Marquez is super skilled and can make anyone look bad.
