Why Hopkins is Lesser in Legacy than Floyd

With the draw, I feel Hopkins will be lower in ATG ranking than Floyd. Hopkins always fought fighters smaller than he is. I almost puked when I wathced the weigh-in where he AGAIN was the taller, longer, bigger fighter than his opponent. With Hopkins it was always like that.

At least Floyd never was the bigger man in majority of his fights. Plus he fought against opponents in their primes. Hopkins should call it a day. But his dreams of catching up on Floyd's ATG resume will never be realized in this lifetime.

    I feel the same
    Hopkins resume seems over rated.
I have Johnson as the BEST win on his resume.
The ones people talk about - Trinidad and DLH are after their prime and also having them move up. Taver I have never thought of as great.

Size isn't everything and it should be the QUALITY of your opposition, not their size that determines your legacy. Hopkins can easily hang with Floud there, though both are fine fighters. Personally I would rank Hopkins higher on account of his longevity and because I feel he has faced the bigger challenges, but of course, Floyd has got that "0".

Hopkins can use his reach advantage to grab Floyd's resume out of the toilet where it fell in 2010.

So he should move to heavyweight just because he happens to be tall?

Hopkins was ahead of Floyd before last night, and he's ahead still.

    Your argument is feeble.
