Didn't Joe outland Bernard 2-1 or something silly that night? Hopkins put Joe down, apart from that he did very little. Joe won, in the U.S, if that was in Cardiff screams off "Hometown decision" would be rife. But that's no excuse in this case, Joe won.

Joe calzaghe slaps. Compubox should not count slaps as punches.

Hopkins was ****ing **** that fight. I'm happy they gave it to Joe for his so-called slaps than to Hopkins for his ugly wrestling, spoiling, low-blow faking tactics. He was just trying to survive in the 2nd half, then had the ****ing gall to say he put on a master class.

i watched this last night, thought bernard was really good for the first few rounds, proved elusive and kept catching calzaghe as he was trying to come in and land something.

but calzaghe adapted and through sheer workrate started to turn it into his kind of fight. hopkins couldnt hack the pace & although the fight remaind close calzaghe was pressuring & landing more regularly as hopkins began to fade.

i dont see how you can say hopkins won, its pretty clear to me that calzaghe done enough to be victorious, just as clear as two of the judges seen it...

    He did.

It's just that Calzaghe threw so many slaps that England decided he won the fight.

Hooray for feather fisted slapping contests.

    Thanks, England.

A video ignoring over half of what was happening in the fight.

If the video had made a case for Hopkins and Calzaghe at different points and wasn't totally one sided it might have been worth something.

According to this video Calzaghe didn't land one solid punch.

In reality Calzaghe beat the drugs cheat, winning all but 2 rounds.

If you really value Hopkins quality over Calzaghe's quantity then Hopkins only loses by 3 or 4 rounds.

Oh dear, here we go again

Calzaghe landed more punches on Hopkins than any other fighter ever.

You say he slaps, boxing is about hitting and not being hit. It doesn't matter if you slap, what matters is making contact with your opponent and Joe did that

Dont think about the pascal fight when looking at Joe Calzaghe , I has Joe a clear winner, compubox or not . Joe was very direct in his work and didnt give Hopkins anytime to breath.
