i was at the fight and thought Pascal won clearly

this is something that is often overlooked. Some fights look a lot different ringside than on tv. It is very possible that many people had Pascal winning by a pt. or two I had Hopkins. But, all the cheering for one guy and none for the ther plays into the judges subconscious. I was at the Gatti-Ward fight and scored the fight for Gatti, went home and watched it on HBO and had Ward by a point.

i had the fight won by sd for pascal, imo pascal won rounds 1-5 and round 9, and hopkins the rest, that would make 6 rounds a piece, and hopkins had 2 knockdowns....


which would make the fight 114-112 in favor of pascal.....(and even fight of 6 rounds a piece is 114-114...)


however i dont see how the american judge scored it 114-112 for hopkins....did he see hopkins knock down pascal???

oh wait i get it....it must be that canadian beer, the american judge wasnt used to such good strong beer...good old blue dry @ 10%...lol

It was close but I thought B-Hop just edged it by sweeping the last 7 rounds easily.It certainly wasn't the robbery of the century though.

if you think hopkins won 7 rounds, then 113-113 was the correct scoring, i thaught pascal was able to pull off an extra rpund making it 6-6 and then add the 2 KD's then the score is 114-112 for pascal...

 

Just look at Pascal's face after the final round. And look at his face when the first scorecard was announced in favor of Hopkins, not a bit surprised.

It was close also for me with Hopkins having the edge but as somebody already said he can't really expect to win against the hometown fight with just two rounds over.

To score this as a draw was a joke and i think you were under the influence of the hyping crowd, if you watched the fight on mute, you would have seen a schooling!
same with floyd and oscar, oscar lost many more round that how people had it, I had that fight 117-111, but the judges had it by SD...WTF?

No not fight of the year and Pascal didn't win it clearly either. C'mon guys it was a great fight though and the OP probably meant that it was FOTY compared to RJJ-Hopkins 2.

 

Hopkins won everything from 5 on if not from 4 on. 8-4 minus the 2 points for the KDs make it 114-112.

Regardless of whether Pascal fights Hopkins again or fights Chad, he is going to get dominated. Chad watched this fight and he is going to press Pascal from round 1 onward.
