Lamont Peterson does not inspire me. Obviously the unification will have to be milked longer.

If the bout was in the UK as expected McCloskey or Olusegan would be more interesting, but against Murrey at the MEN would be a great follow up from Maidana

Same here, I'd rather it be Prescott.

I thought Ortiz might've been in the pipeline given he's a GBP fighter. But that was only on the basis he would do a job on Peterson. So he's slipped down the queue.

I'd love to see Khan v Murray and it might be a greater possibility than some think. Financially it does the job over here but HBO might not want it. They might press for Judah or Peterson. Or why not a Maidana rematch over here.

If Murray fought him he wouldn't have much to lose apart from his WBC #4 ranking but he might gain more in defeat than that anyway. And if he wins, the sky's the limit. He's a free agent too so GBP might get him on a fight-by-fight deal or something.

I don't wanna see McCloskey or Olusegen. I wanna see a good match up. And before anyone cries about it a fight with Ortiz or Judah is more interesting than those two.

Just not Peterson - where's the gain?

Easy to market but a shocker of a fight. He makes Maidana look like Willie Pep.

Apparently Ortiz is moving up to 147

Yep. I could imagine a big SBO show from the Reebok entitled 'Redemption' whereby Khan does a number on his only victor.

I think Zab Judah for me out of the names that are floating about. I really wanted to see the murray bout when they were both lightweight but feel it wouldn't mean much now. I am a murray fan though but feel khan needs to fight 'names' to keep his profile up? I'd like to see Murray vs Mitchell instead. Khan is levels above McCloskey and don't see the point in this. Tbh I don't remember seeing anything of Olusegan but know he is an avoided fighter, but i can't see khan wanting these kind of fights now.

Really? Bad move. I was hoping he and Brandon Rios would fight at catchweight and settle their 'bad blood'. They're talking about the animosity in the same terms as DLH and Vargas

He needs an opponent similar in style to Bradley or Alexander as he wants this to be the fight in July.

Ortiz would definately be a good fight but I think khan is looking for a filler rather than a killer? Not saying Ortiz would win or lose just that its more than a making time fight. I think Khan would box rings around Prescott and have an easy night, but they may be able to sell it.

Apparently he was 156 in the ring against Peterson.

I just don't rate him that highly, he quit against Maidana and blew the fight with Peterson.

If I was Khan it would be a fight I'd be demanding, none of this Zab crap :-(

Murray needs some decent promoting on sky, have 1 more fight, make him look like a killer, hype the unbeaten record to death and then make a fight with Khan after the Bradley/Alexander matchup.

It will sell far more that way

i doubt the casual fan has ever heard of Murray.

There would be interest in another Maidana fight as well, If Maidana is lookin for a stay busy fight he could do a lot worse than disposing of Prescott on the Khan undercard.

I guess Khan and his team want an easier fight for April in preparation for the Summer unification bout. Doesn't want to take another beating like the Maidana one before the Summer.
