It's natural that fans of a fighter will rally behind their man, I've no problem with that. A runny nose etc in the middle of winter can also snowball into full-blown influenza in the aftermath of a defeat. Simpson won fair and square and has always had the ability to soak up power which Lindsay seemed to be reliant on. I'd fancy John to break Martins heart again as he looks to have his number IMO, fair play to Lindsay for wanting to avenge his defeat but it's a bit of a gamble because you have to ask yourself where it would leave him and what it would do to his confidence and momentum should he lose on home turf again, John Simpson could ruin the plans of the supposed British>>>European>>>World Title shots Lindsay allegedly had scheduled for 2011 according to the pre-Simpson reports.

The roles have reversed, it will be make or break for Lindsay this time ....

Martin Lindsay had an off night but don't try and blame it on the flu. He could have postponed the fight.

Give credit where it's due. Simpson was the better man on the night.

Hatton had the flu against Mayweather and a nasty cold sore and the referee wouldn't let him fight his fight. Just sayin'.

    I had it 115-113 Simpson

Decent scrap.....Lindsay looked like he lacked any ideas in there at times, but did show a lot of heart to finish the way he did...

Yeah his opinion is invalid because he is Irish! :patsch

Gemmell, you are another spastic on here that allows effluence flow before engaging your brain.

David Kelly is a very well respected boxing writer, and has been around boxing rings a long enough time not to allow hometown bias cloud his judgement.

Read what the writer says before jumping in with your bollocks.

"On my card Lindsay was winner by seven rounds to five but it could have gone either way as there was so little between the two in the second half of the fight."

Jesus there are some amount of British ******s on here that do my head in, ****ing idiots are cluless about boxing.

Come on lads, I think most of us can watch a fight without the commentary team influence our opinions. Martin and John are top blokes who showed a bit of class, lets do the same here. :good
