Jobbed against Taylor, jobbed against Calzaghe, now robbed against Pascal!

Anyone else have B-Hop winning almost every round after round 4? I had him a clear winner.

Why do judges in this day and age not prize the quality of work done over everything else?

In the fights with Taylor, Calzaghe and now Pascal, Bernard Hopkins has shown himself to be the more skilled, incisive and effective fighter, but every time his work is neglected.

    :bbb

8, 10 and definately the 12th were not his rounds.......

How the **** can you score the 12th for bhop....he was eating leather all round while looking sluggish and missing his own shots

I stand by my original statement: Hopkins won almost every round after the 4th (and other than the KDs was fighting on an even footing for the 1st 4). :deal

When you include Calzaghe in there its a bit ridiculous, and he did clearly lose to Taylor in the 2nd fight.

I had Hopkins beating Calzaghe by 4, and as far as I can remember I scored the Taylor fights 1 win to B-Hop and 1 draw, but I can't remember which was which, they were so dull. I still have the cards in my collection though. I don't think you know much about scoring to say what you said. Clearly just another workrate-worshipper. :-(

Of those fights, this is the one where Hopkins made the strongest case that he won. But he lost against Calzgahe and his two fights with JT were super close.

Let me just add that Hopkins fights are super tough to score because there is very little action so you have to judge rounds based on a few punches here and there. That makes scoring so, so subjective.

Another thing is that though the Hopkins of now is known to do little, what he does throw is usually effective. In his prime he had a much higher workrate and didn't really go by decisions just ko's.

He should have won both Taylor 2 and the calslappy fight. Both were close. Slappy Joe looked as bad as I've ever seen a "world class" fighter look in that fight.

I thought he definitely beat Pascal and also beat Taylor once. Calzaghe fight was very close. Maybe a draw is the best I can give Bernard in the Calzaghe fight. Getting tired in the 2nd half of the Calz fight probably lost him that one but hey, he was 43 then. Bernard is an amazing fighter.

Had Hopkins winning by a point or two. The 5th seemed like Pascal's and the 12th was close, but Bernard was doing the better work.

Yes b/c Hopkins all he did after the first few rounds was run and hold, and try to deliver butts. How was he supposed to look good? It was an easy call to Joe. The Taylor fights were close but like the Calzaghe fights Bernard was too defensive and did clearly lose the 2nd one.

I honestly and fairly had Calzaghe ahead by 2 points I think. That fight is not a robbery it could have gone either way really.
