You can't score a fight if you think Hopkins beat Joe! He did nothing after the KD except foul his way to the distance which he did a lot of in the past with lesser fighters!

I think equating the two fights is unfair.

I scored both for Hopkins at least I think I did with Calzaghe, but the Calzaghe one was razor thin either way. I had Hopkins beating Pascal by four points even with the shitty KD call in R1. I had Hopkins winning out from round 4 on. He landed more shots, the cleaner shots, the harder shots, he controlled the ring, he controlled the pace of the fight, Jean Pascal was on the back foot, holding and not throwing for the entirety of the last nine rounds.

Hopkins lost a close fight to another HOFer in Calzaghe. So what? Its not like Joe is going to go down being ranked higher on an ATG list than B. I'd give Hops the benefit of the doubt and say the 40 yr old light heavy version beats Calzaghe 8 times out of 10. The 43 yr old couldnt take the workrate and smarts of Joe but still decked him.

If it was in Calzaghe's prime at 168, the result would have been even more lopsided to Joe. That was Calzaghe's first fight at 175, and the first 2 rounds and the knockdown were why it was close until about the 8th round.

As a keen observer and follower of the ChinChecking fraternity, I'm worried about your impartiality when it comes to Calzaghe. Such bias can tear at the very fabric of the ChinChecking game, and lead people to question the validity of ChinChecking as a science.

    Hopkins - Calzaghe wasn't a robbery, and it wasn't a one-sided Welsh landslide either.

Really, it was a fight that needed to be Men In Black mindwiped from all of our recollections and replaced by a rematch. They were both better fighters than that wreck proved.

Bobsinno/Cowardzaghe is that you? Are you creating new profiles again to criticise Calzaghe?

You seem to be everywhere today. Is it because Hopkins looked so good last night and you said he was old and shot against Joe?

I have never even heard of those fellows, I created this thread to highlight the injustice Hopkins has suffered over the years.

Actually had the Calzaghe fight a draw.
But theres no question Hopkins won last night, you could tell with Pascals reaction at the final bell. He knew he`d lost the fight.
