Imo the reason Calzaghe barely got by Hopkins is cause of Freddie Roach!

When Hopkins fought Calzaghe, Roach was Hopkins trainer. And if you look at the corner Freddie didn't give Hopkins any instructions at all. It look like Roach didn't know what to say to Hopkins of how to beat Calzaghe. And didn't before that fight Roach said Hopkins shouldn't fight Calzaghe cause Hopkins looks like a shot fighter? The reason Nazim wasn't Hopkins trainer cause Nazim had a huge throut problem that he couldn't talk right in which s4cks. Imo if Calzaghe would have give Hopkins a rematch with Nazim as Hopkins trainer, i think Hopkins would have won that rematch cleanly. I know many here will say i'm making excuses but think about it.

Does Nazim really make that much of a difference to Hopkins? At this stage of the great mans career, I find it hard to believe that he needs instructions on how to fight/what to do. But we'll never know I suppose.

If Roach was in Hopkins corner for Pavlik/Pascal/Jones/Ornealas etc, would the results of been different?

Yup cause Nazim give Hopkins great instructions and alot more confident. Nazim imo is the most underrated trainer. Nazim always give Hopkins instructions of what to do in which most of the time Hopkins does what Nazim tells him to. While Roach didn't give Hopkins not once of what to do. Roach look lost and confuse. And Roach confident was way down low.

So you're saying Hopkins didn't need a trainer in his corner?:lol::lol: When Nazim was a 100 percent, the only person you hear in Hopkins fights is Nazim screaming like crazy telling Hopkins what to do.

wonder if thats why bernard never worked with roach again
most advice i heard him giving was to faint the jab and throw a right hand left hook

Nazim did a good job yesterday

The best point he gave was when he told BHop to hit the body as an investment. And it was a good investment coz it slowed Pascal down before the 6th round.

He was shouting out "body shot", it had Pascal lowering his guard to protect his body and Hopkins would land shots to the head. Naazim still continued shouting Body shot, and Pascal started held a high guard thinking he wont be struck twice, but this time Hopkins land that left hook to the body.

He did the same thing vs ODLH, and ODLH got KO.

Then he knew Pascal can only box in the later rounds and would be beaten if he makes it into a brawl. So was shouting "look at him running away in his hometown". it got under Pascal's skin, Pascal tried trading and got clocked a few times.

In between one of the rounds he goes this kid is bull**** just got one swing, he motivated BHop.

:patsch Do you ever watch in between rounds. Naz is the architect and gives great advice and motivation for someone like Hops who's been in the game so long.

    :patschx2 Hating for no reason.

Roach declined and adviced Hopkins to retire when he was about to fight Pavlik.

Bull****. Calzaghe beat Hopkins because he was the better man on the night. Also Nazim gets overrated to **** on here. Just because Mosely beat Margarito.

Do you believe Hopkins wouldn't of beaten Pavlik/Jones/Ornealas or drew with Pascal without Nazim?
