He deserves to be "jobbed". He's been an discredit to boxing for years and the sooner the sport is rid of him, the better. As a fighter, he whines and bitches and outside the ring, he's a sad reminder of a part of boxings history which belongs in the past.

It is amazing that he can still fight so well being so old, but your post is very true. He is dirty fighter and always bitchs about fights he knows he has lost.

    You know I'm right.

Hopkins in ring tactics have been shameful and it's a joke he refers to himself as a "Philly fighter". Geographically, yes, but he doesn't have the heart of a Philly fighter. He's constantly cheated, exaggerated, faked injuries and done everything possible to make fights scrappy and win them, despite being talented.

As a person, he's a disgrace. His attitudes aren't appropriate in 2010. He's a blatantly racist, homophobic scumbag. **** him.

Doesn't have the heart? Did you see last night's fight or are you just hating?

I respect his talents but heart? This is a guy who faked low blows to get a few minutes rest when the going got tough. He's used illegal tactics to slow opponents down, he's held and wrestled. Sure, he'll get stuck in but this isn't a proud warrior we are talking about, who gave the term "Philly fighter" the massive respect it carries.

If you want to ***** about fighters getting jobbed, mention guys like Glen Johnson who get few favours despite being honourable, proud, respectful and a credit to the sport inside the ring and outside of it. Hopkins is none of those things. He deserves every bad decision he may have got in his career and much more.

Yawn. I don't have a B-Hop poster on my wall and I don't take a B-Hop pencil-case to work with me every day, I couldn't possibly be less interested in what kind of role model he is. I don't give a **** about whether he is a nice gentleman or not, all I care about is if he fights the best fighters around, and if he performs with skill. He does both, therefore he is a great fighter, and that's all that's important unless you know the guy personally and you don't get on.

When did he fake lowblows? When he was an old ****in' man right? You can't ignore the fact that he doesn't always look to do that. I can't ignore the fact that he's dirty but in his prime he gave good fights and was even exciting to watch and people forget that. Yesterday he didn't fake anything and fought pretty offensive yet people like you still hate on him. You still didn't answer my question....did you watch the fight? You come across as a hater and someone that hasn't. He made up for the Calzaghe loss because of his performance against Pavlik. He made up for his poor showing against Jones this year by stepping up his offense last night against the younger Pascal. Stop hating and at least give the man his due. Oh and I respect Johnson but he usually cries when decisions don't go his way. Many fighters foul get over it.

Just saw the fight again and here are my scorecards:

    10-8 Pascal
    10-9 Pascal
    10-8 Pascal
    9-10 Hopkins
10-10 Even - Both had some good action and thought it was only fair to make it 10-10.
    9-10 Hopkins
    9-10 Hopkins
    9-10 Hopkins
    9-10 Hopkins
    9-10 Hopkins
    9-10 Hopkins
    10-9 Pascal

    114-113 Hopkins

That's 7 rounds for Hopkins, 4 for Pascal and 1 even. There were a couple of close rounds between round 6-11. So in no way is it a robbery. It was a close fight due to the 2 KDs and you have to account for them. Pascal was pretty much up 5 rounds to nothing after the first 3 rounds due to those KDs. Just the fact that Hopkins got a draw shows you how great he did after round 3.

Quit acting like the whole world's out to get Bernard Hopkins. Got jobbed against Calzaghe? If getting the fight on your turf with your ref who calls the fight in the way that benefits you best is getting "jobbed", then there's a whole laundry list of fighters who'd gladly sign up for it.

Can't a guy lose close fights without it being called a robbery and without this whole Rodney Dangerfield "no respect" schtick getting played? Hopkins is certainly going to be a first ballot hall of famer, has made a fortune in boxing, and has had more breaks for him than 99% of the guys out there fighting for a living. Of course Hopkins worked for it. So does every other fighter who dedicates himself to he sport. He's had a hell of a career and lost some close fights. But to insinuate that the whole system's been out to screw Bernard Hopkins isn't just inaccurate, it's an insult to Hopkins himself because you're implying none of the responsibility for Hopkins' losses are a result of his own mistakes. To pretend like every close loss was a masterclass on his behalf is lying to make him look better than he really is, and Hopkins needs no such favors or nuthuggery. His accomplishments stand on their own merits.

Bernard Hopkins doesn't need excuses made for him or to be handled with kiddy gloves. If he made a tactical error in a fight or just got outfought and lost, so be it.
