for me, it was the gatti fight.
mayweather was brilliant that night, it was almost too much, to see gatti take a beating like that.

    Just youtube'd the Corrales fight.

Really impressive performance by Floyd, he put on a masterclass.

Gonna check out the Gatti one next...

Thought the Mosley fight was an impressive demonstration of perfect boxing.
Even in Round 2 when in trouble he showed how to smother properly and absorb the onslaught. By the end of that round he was the one throwing combinations...unbelievable.

  6. All fights were great , personally i liked floyd best at super featherweight he didnt face any BIG names but for me Floyd himself was best at that weight

    -Corrales
    -Genaro Hernandez
    -Gatti
    -Manfredy (TKO 2, quick watch)
-Jose Luis Castillo I & II (he clearly won II, no one would say otherwise; but some people INSIST on saying he lost the first, though he absolutely won no less than 6 rounds, might as well get your own opinion on it)

My favourites are the Corrales win and the Hatton win.

Yeah I think I'm gonna check out the Castillo one's next, I hear they were the most competitive.

Wow, the Gatti fight was brutal though, Floyd really laid into him... a completely one sided beatdown.

Corrales and Hatton. In one fight he showed how to dismantle a tall power puncher, and in the other a fast, smaller brawler.

Then follow it up by watching Pacquiao-Morales I and let us know who you think won. ;)

Both Pacquiao and Floyd had rematches with those opponents where the winner was clear. That was definitely the closest fight of Floyd's career, though, and probably should have been a loss. There were a lot of swing rounds in that fight, and watching it myself the BEST that I've ever given Floyd is a draw in that fight...I just think it's funny when *******s try to sabotage the thread by saying go watch the Mayweather-Castillo fight where Floyd probably lost, which leads to the OBVIOUS conclusion that Pacquiao is a better fighter than Floyd. Let's not forget that Pacquiao has three losses, and THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT PACQUIAO. It's about Floyd's pre-Judah fights, the best of which (or at least most career-defining) I think are Floyd-Corrales and Floyd-Genaro Hernandez. Floyd-Corley was fun to watch if you want to see Floyd mix it up and trade a little.

his fight vs hatton was SO good...sure cortez was doing a BS job of ref'ing for the first 3 rounds but then he let them work in the clinch/pocket...floyd fought inside and beat hatton in his own game, the way he would get his offense done and still be barely hit in the space of like 3 inches was amazing to watch

edit: and reading you already seen the hatton fight, corrales was a good fight and so was corley. that was floyd's first foray into 140 and he decided to bang with the heavier fighter

Mayweather was actually heavier than Corley.

    Mayweather was 145, Corley 144

Think I'm going to check out the Castillo 1 fight when I have a clearer head, it sounds like one of those really close calls that demands your full attention to appreciate it.

I did watch the Manfredy fight though, Floyd is actually a pretty good finisher (why Manfredy didn't take a knee I don't know)... and Manfredy's entrance/ring attire was hilarious.

Is the Genaro any good in terms of action?, how one sided is it?
