Calzaghe wouldn't have lasted with Roach or Steward. You need to look beyond the surface, Calzaghe's main strength was that he went to a fight and adapted to different styles. He was an independent fighter, with his 'trainer' father being the perfect foil holding the pads and giving him support. It was his drive that made him a success. Roach and Steward are more technical and Calzaghe, wouldn't have lasted with them. Fighters and trainers need a good understanding of each other to be successful. For every, Khan and Roach or Steward and Wladmir Klitschko there's a Naseem Hamed and Steward or Alex Arthur and Roach.
