Napoles did ok versus Monzon until Monzon finally opened up.

Would Leonard just dance around and pepper Monzon and win a close decsion?

  2. the best monzón would stop the middle weight version of leonard. tko in 10 rounds.

I would favor Monzon, but I would not bet against Sugar Ray Leonard.

Running away ai'nt gonna win you a fight with Monzon, well i suppose if you're Leonard you can expect to get half the rounds just by showboating. Monzon would comprehensivly outbox Leonard & break him down & wipe him out no later than 10 & he'd win every round while he was at it into the bargain. When are you people on here ever going to realise that Leonard just could not cut it above 147 against prime/up & coming credible opposition:deal

Leonard struggled against Kalule at 154 & was gifted a stoppage & then got embarrassed by Kevin Howard at 154 for **** sake who also got shafted by the Leonard controlled $$$$$ circus officials. Leonard did absolutly **** all except hand pick opponants who'd he'd avoided like herpes & would never re-match or still looked dangerous to the Leonard $$$$$ making brand.

He avoided Hagler for 5 years & Hearns for 8 years & Duran for 9 years & then he only fought them on his weight stipulated terms. Leonard would never ever have gone after a Monzon or any fighter that was at the top of his game. Monzon would wipe Leonard out:deal

Monzon would win a UD that isn't even close.

I see this as a fairly easy fight for Monzon.

I got balls....... SRL of 1987 and 1988 in with "Hagler & Lalonde" was still savvy, skilled and capable... He was fine and strong at 160 pounds, too... That SRL would give Carlos Monzon of 1975 fits... I say SRL grits out a tuff fought decision over 12 rds..... Ray Leonard is a little too quick and slick for the stronger, slower Carlos Monzon...

I pretty much agreed with this except saw Leonard taking the early/mid rounds before he slows/tires as he did at MW and Monzon's timing sawe him come into the fight for a grandstand finish

Leonard UD 8-4 or 8-7 as 15rounds will suit Monzon

Is this a 12 or 15 rounder? What size is the ring? What size gloves is Monzon allowed to use? Does Monzon have permission to fight Leonard in Monzon's prime?
