I have to play ******* here, you have to admit, it is a LITTLE ironic that the only judge that scored a winner, was the american, for Hopkins. :think

it was an interesting fight and if you thought it was fight of the year then thats all right with me. its not my business to tell you what is or what is not your fight of the year. perhaps it was the drama and the intensity at the stadium that made it your fight of the year.:good

Just from watching the fight and not scoring I thought Bernard was dominating besides the 2 knockdowns, and before the fight I picked Pascal to win so I wasn't biased. I'll have to watch it again and score it but I woulda gave it to Hopkins but I feel a draw was fair given the 2 knockdowns to 0. Pascal could have definitely picked up 2 rounds during the fight.

Antonio Tarver actually had Pascal winning. Yahoo! Sports' lead boxing writer Kevin Iole had it 114-112 for Hopkins. SI.com's Chris Mannix scored it 113-113, while Tim Smith from the N.Y. Daily News had Hopkins 114-112. The Yahoo! boxing blog scored it 114-112 for Pascal.

It was a fight close as ****, I been yelling while I was drunk all the night that Hopkins were kicking his ass. But I rewatched the fight this morning sober, and I remember how divised were all my friends after the result. Everyone had different opinions, I had 115-111 Hopkins last night, but when you not champion, you can't get away with all the close rounds.

    After a re-check, I scored a draw and I think it's fair.

And I have to agree for this, it's far from a fight of the year but for a Hopkins fight, it was a hell of a fight. I was there and I will remember it forever.

Perfectly legit knockdown. See 1:07 -1:11 of video.

Cuffed right on the ear. Nowhwere near the back of the head, despite Bernard's theatrics.

A freeze-frame of the punch that knocked Bernard down:

And another, one twelfth of a second later:

    Legit KD.

PH|LLA, your first instincts are correct.

The TV commentators and wishful rooting interest play a role in how alot of these ESB guys score fights.

Some of these guys will have you believing Hopkins has'nt lost a fight since the first Roy Jones fight.

What happened here is that Hopkins rolled off a string of rounds, starting from round 4 and ending in round 10, I only gave Pascal one round (the 8th).....
.....that meant there was a stretch in the fight where Hopkins rolled off 6 out of 7 rounds, which if you're rooting for Hopkins will have you believe he won the fight.

The final two rounds I thought Pascal won clearly. Hopkins was sluggish and Pascal was countering Hopkins was clean telling blows in those final two rounds.

Even in middle rounds that Hopkins won, it was Pascal who would score the 2 or 3 more telling shots of the round, but because he was so inactive, Pascal lost those rounds.

I watched the fight with Polish commentary; a singlen Polish commentator at that.

Apart from the knockdowns I only gave one other round to Pascal.

I had it 115-111 in favour of Hopkins.

    Round 1 - Pascal
    Round 2- Pascal
    Round 3- Pascal
    Round 4- Hopkins
    Round 5- Pascal
    Round 6- Hopkins
    Round 7- Hopkins
    Round 8- Pascal
    Round 9- Hopkins
    Round 10- Hopkins
    Round 11- Hopkins
    Round 12- Hopkins

7-5 Hopkins but due to the 2 KD's it became a draw.

anybody who had pascal winning one round after the 3rd has to be canadian. The guy didnt throw more than 20 punches in any round.
