That is one of the most ignorant and offensive statements I have ever read on this forum. You sound exactly like Jerry Falwel and Jimmy Swaggart. A narrow minded, uninformed member of the creationist society. A foolish bigot who places his moronic opinions above scientific facts.

Actually, I'm a secular-minded atheist whose common sense, backed by science, tells him there's no genetic excuse for being a drunk. Do you really think there's something special about ethyl alcohol that makes its chronic abusers any different than any other fiend who refuses to moderate his vice consumption? Go have a drink and relax--just keep it reasonable like any other free-willed human being is capable of doing.

Maybe rehab will teach Pavlik to man up and stop making excuses for everything, but I doubt it.

It sure didn't help booradley with the excuse making.

I think everything depends on whether he wins his battle against his alcoholism or not. If he manages to win it and then fully concentrates on boxing, then he might come back and maybe big. Nobody knows - not even himself (not yet).

I agree with you man, it starts with a beer you don't even like because it tastes bitter (but you like what it does...). Time pases and the taste gets under your skin and it's so refreshing in the summer. After that you start asociating alcohol with saturday nights, birthdays... Time goes by again and aclohol becomes an event by itself, it's tuesday morning and you are wasted...

How can it be a character flaw when one does not even know that there is a problem???

I think Kelly can do it again, but he needs to clean his body and hire another trainer. He's been more than fair to Jack...

this fight should have happened before Abraham moved up but for some reason it never happened, much like Pavlik-Williams.

at 160? Both fighters would be dead trying to make the weight, I think Abraham's problem is his lifestyle and maybe the same issue with Pavlik - maybe have the fight at a catchweight.

Pavlik is a **** head-so what?He seemed to do just fine until he met B-Hop and Martinez.Blaming the bottle is a cop out.Try a new trainer and diet.
Alcohol is a cop out and an excuse for not being able to handle the pressures of life.:|

No. At MW, he could beat anyone, including Martinez, Williams and Pirog. But he can't make the weight anymore, so he's screwed. At SMW, there are too many guys who I think beat him.
