How was it a insignificant error? One round could make the difference, especially in a close fight.

And I don't feel sorry for the guy. He's a professional athlete making millions. But he did win the fight. And should have got the decision.

Why does his boxing have anything to do with his personality? Because Tony Ayala was a really good fighter, does that mean that his personality should be respected? of course not.

And I do respect Hopkins as a fighter but as a person? **** him. He's a scumbag.

I didn't score the fight. My point was that, because of the early rounds, the fight was close and a crowd influenced draw isn't anything to ***** about. If I had scored the fight exactly, yeah, that would have been a big error but I didn't. My point was that the fight on the cards was close, so it doesn't matter that I was wrong about how many rounds would need to be won.

Like I said though, it was a small blip and my point still stands. It was essentially a typo, given the context of the rest of my post.

Get the **** out of here I had a feeling that it would be best to avoid ESB becuase I would hear robbery BS, the fight was a draw neither deserved to win.
Going into a champions back yard you must take the title, especially in another country, and beleive this, getting dropped twice is hardly taking the title.
Hopkins did well in this fight even at his advanced age, props to him, he got into Pascals head, and you could see Pascal buying into the Hopkins hype around the 6th round....
had he showed no respect for Nard and turned it on he could have sealed a win, credit Nard for doing his job.
But at the end of the day he did not do enough to win, in fact neither did Pascal I had the fight dead even with alot of close rounds as well.
usally the Champion does get the benefit of the doubt in those rounds that are close like that....

I have yet to watch the fight, but I plan on doing so tonite. I have seen posts on both sides of the equation from posters that I respect. I will let you know how I score it(for whatever that is worth).

I will admit that I dislike Hopkins, but I respect his accomplishments in the sport.

I will also admit that I like Pascal, but think he was fortunate to win against Dawson, but won fairly. I think that fight was more a testament to Dawson's tentative approach than to Pascal having superior ability.

I'll let you know how I see it Pop.

Taylor, Calzaghe and Pascal must have nightmares about what a prime Hopkins would do to them.

Yes, these fights were close. But despite how good Hopkins is for his age, any World class fighter worth his salt should easily beat a man in his fourties.

The fights with Taylor, Calzaghe and Pascal shows the difference between a good fighter and a ATG fighter.

I can't really comment on the two Taylor fights because I haven't really watched them, but after watching the Calzaghe fight live I couldn't believe it was a split decision. I though it was a wide and clear decision for Calzaghe. In my opinion he deserves to lose close fights, he rarely throws many punches and just tries to stink out his opponent by making them look bad.

All right, I watched the fight and scored it 115-111 for Hopkins. However, there were a couple of rounds that I could see going either way.

So, with that I will say no to a flat out robbery, but I feel Hopkins should have won. Pascal was definitely the beneficiary of a draw. The swing was anywhere from 116-111 Hopkins to 113-113.

I can see why Hopkins was upset, winning so much of the fight, but as others have said the KD's were a big factor.

    :rofl at using Compubox.

If you think Calzaghe won that's one thing, but Compubox proves **** all and no one should take that **** seriously.

WTF Hopkins got beat in the calzaghe fight big time. The bloke had to resort to head butting wrestling and then the ultimate cheated for time with a low blow. disgracefull yeah, and that punch never landed near his nuts unless there in his stomach. beaten by 4 CLEAR rounds. Hopkins didnt like getting beaten by a white boy. Bad loser wouldnt you say?
